It takes a while to learn the different characters' combos to know exactly where to vanish out. Perfect blocking is pretty nasty when you learn how to do it reliably, if you're up against someone who can you have to be a lot more patient. People who are good at perfect blocking feast on aggressive players.

Honestly, Goku doesn't deserve the bad father rap so much. He clearly wanted to do dad stuff with gohan at the start of Z but chichi forbade him from sharing his passion with his firstborn.

I'll never forgive you, scum! or something similar. It gives you a pretty substantial reduction to damage you take while guard broken.
