Where can I get one?

It's interesting that it is actually based on a system that works.

cheap car ozone generator with real internals

It's not really false...because the system does work in theory. It just needs to be much, much bigger to work well. It really does do all the things stated in the OP image, though paying for itself quickly is questionable.

>.because the system does work in theory

a blue light?

It's a capacitor that stores energy and then releases it when there's a heavy load on the electric system. By taking the extra load off, it can actually help improve gas mileage, power, and all that other stuff.

The only problem is that the capacitor in that thing is dinky, so it doesn't actually do much. It does probably give very minuscule benefits in those areas, but because the cap is so small, it's not actually anything you'd be able to notice.

So it does work, just not very well, because the components are extremely undersized for the job they're supposed to be doing.

my roommates Turbo II had one of these installed when he bought it. I still have it around somewhere, it'll make a great gag gift.

Thanks for the chuckle, user. That was a good bit before the show became shit.

The only must have accesorie for a car is a USB-charger for your phone.

Lol, where I come form twingos are the second most common cars around. Those VW Beetles are also pretty common.

Read the article on it Mazda uses the same system but with capacitors that are actually large enough to make a difference.

I need to actually get one of these, my steering wheel is as smooth as glass and no power steering

Yes, but cars traditionally already have such a thing.

It's called a battery.

t. doesn't have one

Yeah. People will buy literally bracelets that promise to heal you and make you smarter.

I mean, if you watch american television, it kind of makes sense.

am i a bad person for secretly wanting one of these?

i kinda want to fit a fan like that to my pod so it sounds like im spooling

This. Also GPS, if your car doesn`t have built-in

Goddamn, Twingos have a lot of steering angle.

i got one of those + exhaust whistle
i personally like it because it sounds like something you never heard before.
it idles like whee whee whee br br whee and with WOT it goes like a vacuum cleaner

tfw my twin pipes dont work with a whistle

One in each pipe.
i myself drilled a small hole and bolted it directly in the end muffler and put a tip over it for stealth

even then the exhaust pressure isnt good enough for a whistle

worked mint as on my mates maxima though

Neck yourself

...

yiff in hell furfag

Its not supposed to whistle constantly.
Mine only whistles with max acceleration, idle and some specific revs.

if it doesnt work get a bigger one.

Furfag badge still less gay than the Holden badge its covering.

All that matters.

Your car has a really ugly interior. I'm guessing it's an early 2000's ford of some sort?

dat mk2

I got just the thing

Capacitors have an insanely high discharge rate, to the point that if you short the terminals together on the huge ones, they can explode.
Batteries can't dump power as quickly.

HELL YEAH!
this one too!

WIND POWERED SHARK FIN LED LIGHT

What do people call these in your area? Here in the midwest US they call them brodie knobs.

...

Suicide knob is what I've heard them called

PERKELE
need these in Fin simulator so badly

yeah i know man
it doesnt whistle even under full throttle

I've only heard them called suicide knobs

40 km/h without the engine being on, now that's fuel efficiency

Brodie knobs would be the correct term. I've herd spinners, suicide knobs, and necking knobs before.

the old speedo cable munched itself and twisted the needle on the shaft, I can't be fucked pulling apart the dash to twist it back, it's out by 20k's exactly so, I just got used to it.

capacitors to batteries are basically how RAM is to storage drives. much faster charge and discharge rate, and more volatile. can't store a charge without a constant current like a battery can. i didn't believe this shit when i opened this thread, but it's starting to make sense.

>Holden
Please explain

Corolla, TVR wheel, Holden horn button, had a half ripped Harley Davidson sticker on it as well when I bought the car.

Decided to just cover it up with something less gay until I can get a TEQ Horn button.

One note on the wheel, while the Momo is fantastic quality, stirdy as hell, get a round wheel, square sucks ass.

Put 2 in each pipe.

If only yours looked like that. I saw it with that bottle of meme water earlier, it looks like shit.

Except the only reason the Mazda system does anything is because it charges the cap with regenerative braking... It doesn't just sit there in the cigarette outlet.

www2.mazda.com/en/publicity/release/2011/201111/111125a.html

They turn on a dime. Really nice to park in the city.

I think any anecdotal evidence supporting increased mpg is purely the driver just paying attention to how he/she is driving. I'm sure they aren't leadfooting it like they usually do.

Yeah. What the plug system does is leech power at low load and feed it back under high load. If it was much larger it would have an effect but still worse than anything with regenerative.

fuck off wr

It's an improvement.

MERCI TWINGO!

You wouldnt believe me if i told you how common this shit is in the baltimore area

...

>baltimore
I'd believe you

Can confirm. Saw an Accord about half as bad as this. Had all the shitty chrome door edging and some other bits; easy identifier that the driver is Mexican (usually) or black.

*saw it yesterday.

Very common though.

>It's a capacitor that stores energy and then releases it when there's a heavy load on the electric system.

Mazda's capacitor method requires a customized alternator as well as regenerative braking to supply the power used to charge up the capacitors. Simply putting a lot of capacitors across the output of the alternator is not the same and actually is bad.

Large capacitors in the system mean that when the car is parked, the capacitors are discharged slowly by parasitic loads. When the car is started up, the capacitors demand a large inrush current (they look like shorts due to how much current they can instantly demand). That large current is harmful to rectifiers and other unfused items.

Mazda's regenerative braking increases the alternator load on overrun. It doesn't use an eddy current brake like a Prius or Tesla. You don't need any specialized equipment to do the same thing, just a big capacitor and an on/off switch wired to the TPS.

Of course, this thing has neither of those, but just because this product is worse than worthless doesn't mean the concept wouldn't work if executed properly.
