What's the point of using pushrods?

What's the point of using pushrods?

So you can use one camshaft and a smaller timing chain and not have like 4 cams and a long ass timing chain grenade like BMWs.

Engine's not as tall

whats the point of this thread

cheapness
lightness
simplicity

That's Audi you're thinking of.

It's quite space-efficient

to remind you you're american

Is he talking about valve actuation or suspension structure?

Suspension structure obviously

V engines are shit anyways.

So much energy wasted, when a turbo 4 has more economy AND power.

Lawnmower engines

V6>all unless it's a rotary

this
V6 > all

Only if it's a Porsche v6
Ecoboost sucks dicks

Porsche doesn't make V6s

Yes they do
180 degree v6s

Retard

wrong
boxer =/= 180° V

A flat 6 is not a flat 6?

Porsche makes boxer engines
boxer =/= 180° V6

...

If the point is to use one camshaft on a V configuration, then why were there inline engines that still used pushrods?

I'd still take the 1uz for the revs

Pushrods push gods

Currently on the hunt for a 5.3 vortec go in my Chevy C10 project

>this one heavily modified engine that shares essentially nothing with the original factory engine did well
How is the relevant at all?

>5.3 vortec

Why not an obviously better LS1? It's like you want broken head gaskets.

The only real difference between the two is the bore and the fact that the 5.3 is iron and the ls1 is aluminum, you can pick up 5.3 all day for 200-500 dollars so it makes sense to go with that.

This right here It's going in an old truck anyway, doesn't really matter if it's aluminum or cast iron. LS is too expensive anyway.

If I can find a 6.0 or 6.2 for cheap I'd take one of those too

There is a reason why they are that cheap user.
Besides it's not even 1500 trim so there is no need for iron unless your engine has poor cooling.

>There is a reason why they are that cheap user.
And that reason is what?

this image makes me want to be an AUDI tech for the guaranteed cash

>broken head gaskets

Bump

Very relevant since one faggot thinks the GT LMGTE engine is a ford flex engine.

Found gm's marketing team

Man, that shit went from 0 to meme fast.

This made me audibly laugh

Why are there so many parts? you could probably build 3 engines with all that shit
