ASX thread

Alright, ill kick this off.

Noice user, good to see no meme spec stocks

>whenwilliberich.png

If you have $51,000 to throw on stocks you're already there

What do you guys think of Ramsay health and ehe? I have been aiming at health as the population is ageing, however ehe seems to have been having issues

RHC sells at a huge premium given the return it gives, already huge market cap - Think the growth has been factored in

Aged care is very dependent on government regulation, REG/EHE and JAP are the big ones and took a dip earlier a few months ago based on that - Lot of uncertainty regarding that so higher degree of risk

By 2019, IAM will be worth $1.You heard it here first

That sure is a long time to wait user, what makes you so confident?

Any other meme spec stocks you guys have your eye on or are holding?

>That sure is a long time to wait user
Its called an investment. IMO holding for anything less than 3 years is a short term trade and is akin to gambling

True, just wondering why you're so bullish on the stock not having a go at you just curious what you see in it as I haven't heard about it

Thanks mate, it's always good to hear another opinion.

Rate my portfolio.

Its a long view value play.

Average holding here is about ~$1500. Except GGG - babies first share - $5000 averaged down like a motherfucker.

What is going on with Telstra lately? Still dropping today

Bump

How did you guys do today?

Slow day as usual for me. If anyone bought IOT before the 38% rise today, then congratulations

Nothing to worry about

What happen to GXY? Is the dream dead

Noice.
What's your plans for them? Are they long term investments or short term trades?

What brokers do you dudes use?

i hope this isnt a troll cause i have them stocks

nigger I've been harping on since the SRT days..

How come your dividends so high my dude

After one year of investing. Still crying about selling my NOX shares at 20 cents...... Would have had an extra 10k.

Where do you hear about these shares?
Such as NOX, since it had a nice double in SP last month

what broker do you cunts use? i was thinking about opening a nab trade account

What is your thoughts on MND's ownership, and subsequent offsell of its share in ANQ to the chinese?

I found out about NOX through reading through ASX floats, it peaked my interest but seemed too expensive when it was being floated. When I saw that it had dropped to 14 cents I saw it as an easy flip.....just wish I had held it longer.

Originally when I purchased MND it was more based off of their financials and seeing them as a high value share. Incredibly high dividend and working in the mining sector which was picking up at the time I purchased them. I have not looked into their ownership or sales of assets.

bump

Guys, I am so sick of my job. I want to start my own business, but I'm not sure what I should sell. Give me some ideas. What do Australians need?

Better question would be what do boomers and rich chinese people need kek

Nabtrade. Lowest buy commission at $14.95

Can't believe some cunts pay $60 for it

>What do australians need?

Jobs. So literally any business will do

New question: what is something that already exists, but is a shitty product , so I can invent a better design

Ie. I saw the other day that someone invented an unbreakable umbrella. Such a simple product, but they have just made it so much better.

is it all in AUD, or would you have to pay 15 USD when trading international shares?

I'd say it would be AUD

they'll fuck you six ways from sunday in the conversion of your capital though.

I have $10k, new to this shit but wanna get into it. What should I do?

IAM, DRM, KNM
Also keep a close eye on CKA and be ready to jump in if it starts to rise

Is anyone watching the MZN / KDR beef? I bought into MZN on the chance that they are right. This is a gamble, but they're either right, in which case the stock bags multiple times - or they're wrong and the stock value halves nothing they still hold tenements with nearology. Shit is interesting as fuck.

Also - I shilled the fuck out of ALC in the old threads. Bought at 4.2 cents and still hold. Hope some of you fucks listened to me.

I see you have AIZ. I was thinking of buying them. What is your thoughts on the stock? The monster dividend and undervaluation is tempting me.

>Better question would be what do boomers and rich chinese people need kek
To be ducked to death desu
Can't wait to put my parents in a home and forget about them.
Also can't wait for Pauline to start kicking arse.
>Jobs. So literally any business will do.
And yet the Government and Boomer continue to cuck anyone under the age of 35.
No wonder everyone moves to the US if you actually want to succeed.

>No wonder everyone moves to the US if you actually want to succeed.

Funny you say that, I'm an American citizen and will be moving there next year.

Australia is good, but it's harder than it should be to do well. The boomers are cunts and fuck Chinese businessmen fucking up our economy and housing market.

>, but it's harder than it should be to do well.
That's exactly it.
The ducking counting boomers have another 20 years of ducking shit up to do before they retire and tell everyone to "Just work harder like I did".
Cunts.
We're even governed by these fucknuggets, no wonder the world is tucked beyond repair now. We might as well burn it and start again from scratch. But they'll fight tooth and nail to avoid that because they can't adapt fast enough, only rest on their laurels and control other lives/houses/food.

these are rapidly becoming meme stocks with no potential upside if you're stuck holding them.

Australians do better outside of Australia. We all know that - we see it all the time.

Everyone else wants to come here for the Kangaroos and Touristy shit they use to sell it. Its a great place, if you don't have to try and live here.

You'll see why we both hate and love it when you shift over.

How?

What broker is this

When the fuck did you buy VOCUS

CMC. Its their P&L just cut down to ticker and current value pre-trade for the day.

The last handful of ASX threads have had those specific shares mentioned; Usually in the same post ()

The MZN thing is interesting, i might go over it on the W/E. I doubt they'll win the case but it might be worth it for the entertainment value alone. "When you accidentally the whole mine"

Check IDO

They are in the same position NSL was in a few years back - I've done well in that space.

IDO have their plans, their costing, their resources and are well on track. Their current hold up is research into lead-in infrastructure, once thats sorted its onto JV or offtake agreements.

They've also picked up a side income providing mining services

Moving forward, they will be protected somewhat by the Indonesian changes next year with exports as they will be building a beneficiation plant that will take feed stock from more than their own sources.

Thoughts?

>The last handful of ASX threads have had those specific shares mentioned; Usually in the same post
Yeah, all those posts were me. Im yet to actually get any input

I'm sure someone mentioned KNM was just a reject shop version of 3PL, who happens to be doing well in this space. Their products would want to be fantastic in every way to make any real earnings in the industry - educational software is a difficult sell at the best of times. Look at the trouble FUN had with Leapfrog and growing its sales base - the licence was revoked in june and taken back over by the lead company with a plan to rapidly expand the 'leapfrog universe' on non leapfrog devices - i.e google & apple app stores.

IAM may have a chance to grow, if they move away from the "tech support" model for financial data. Their current downfall is they use a step by step/checklist system without deviations for their customers - so it is very OneSize at this point. There is another group in WA about to RTO a mining shell who uses a one on one approach to financial services, and centralises the data to allow movement throughout their 'network' ausgrid or something like it -i only remember it because its an electrical group with a giant sign in Sydney. They're in managed funds, real estate, financial planning and a handful of related areas - More than 146 compliant so safe if there are changes.

CKL will more than likely fall victim to the export issues next year, and the 10 year phase out of foreign owned mines unless they are looking to upgrade or process their resources before export. I read somewhere they are looking at selling it in country to a third party/sovereign owned group - BMM or something like it. It will circumvent most of the taxation on sales and transport. PWC can confirm coking coal is under the purview of the mining act and its revisions.

and DRM, Its a gold mining and refining company that's doing the same now as it did last year, and lower than it was 5 years ago, same pattern as gold - in theory should go up. Only red flag i have against it is that it's listed on Motley Fool a few times - fucking shills.

Thankyou very much for that, you seem very well informed

Can I ask what stocks you are fond of right now?

>IAM may have a chance to grow
That is an understatement if I ever did see.

Its essentially a data warehouse controlled by 'robots' with policy statements. Their product offers nothing of value. Its like, as i implied, ringing microsoft tech support and going through a checklist. Fiscal products are not checklists, according to the guidelines, theyre tailored to individuals.

I see it as a product they roll out in one format, make it 'work' then tweak it - its implied if you read past the first sentence.

Curious about YOJ its got potential and seems to be moving fast and IRL, also has potential once they sort out their tenement issue and their staffing issues with Hindustan Copper.

MZN mentioned above looks like a fun ride if they are in fact correct in their claim, as mentioned by this user

Is it inflexible? It's different yes but having the turn around time reduced from days to hours and at a contractually guaranteed 40% cost saving might just make the current practices themselves seem inflexible.

I agree it is like ringing up tech support. You do have your own team that work only for you but there is about a 1-2 month integration time to make it "work".

Anyways from what I gleaned in Sydney at one of the presentations, the company is growing at around 20-30 staff a month and has been swamped by demand. Expecting news about the sentry pilot soon and news about another MOU in mid december (after a board meeting to be held ) and that has a very good chance of being NAB or AMP.
When Mark Fisher was speaking to us from India, he said that he was there in part so the MOU could inspect the offices.

Is there any way I can go about searching companies by (sub)sector?

Lets say I want to follow maritime companies. Be they dry bulk shipping, shipbuilders, base-builders, etc...

How would I go about doing this? It's so easy to do for US stockmarkets reee

This is a terrible idea, here's why:

Ask yourself:
>Can I make a burger better than McDonalds does?

Now ask yourself:
>Can I sell a burger better than McDonalds does?

There's a reason why Maccas has the same colour scheme, menus, store layouts, prices, products. There's a reason why all staff say the same "Hi welcome to McDonalds how can I help you", and thus; there's a reason why they're so successful.

It's got nothing to do with whether you can sell a 'better' quality product, it's all to do with whether you can sell it better.

'Perception of Value'
Its the key metric every retailer from the floor guys up should use for their business. I say should because it is a matter of opinion as to whether or not it is actually used.

When i ran sales teams in consumer electronics I taught them to focus on two things features and benefits - which are the basics "this does that so you can do this' and adding value.
Perception of Value is exploited both in monetary and sentimental 'language'. Providing a deal and focusing on the items in the deal, and the money saved when putting them together with your primary item as well as their features and benefits hit both of those.
If you master that space, you can sell just about anything.

Factor it in with 'Good - Better - Best' and 'Confirmation Bias' and anything you come up with will be gold plated goodness compared to the rest.

I think the main thing they are looking at is the rollout. They seem to do just enough to meet the risk criteria under ASIC regulations so they can grow fast and as they grow they can tweak the back end. If they get NAB or AMP, especially AMP they will be able to quickly pivot their financial guidance to make it more tailored.
The way i see it now is its a big warehouse that picks one of three forms - high, medium, low risk - and smashes its customers into those boxes. Thats what i meant by robotic and cookie cutter. I've worked with AMP in the past and they are experts at finding the right fit for their customers. If IAM can take on or amalgamate some of those basics into their back end and roll them out across their current network - imagine the potential. But they'll have to move quick. There are others in the same space coming who have tried and true systems that have worked for years.

I'm looking for anything on the ASX that is into Tyre recycling. Anything close to it used as either energy or feed stock for another process. There was a semi-takeover of Pearl that seemed to fail - another like it would be great.

The ASX groupings are bullshit anyway. They are inaccurate and rarely updated, even when it takes weeks to 'change the nature of business' it never moves.

Well obviously no, I cannot sell a burger better than McDonalds
But what if I found an area that was undeveloped and didnt have a McDonald-esque company that dominates the market.

What is going on with FCR? Is it a dud company or is JT actually making things happen? It took him months to get the GoldQuest acquisition done, now regarding moonlight we're waiting on a supposed joint venture but for news due at the end of "this year" it's looking unlikely.

I live in Tasmania.
Should I invest locally?
Am I fucked?

This should get a good kick along once they build something. I might put a position in during the week to pick up a few hundred thousand.

Good to great levels of DR elements in their pellet iron, making it ideal for structural steel manufacture and they have infrastructure setup - specifically power which is a bitch at the best of times.

GoldQuest will be a nothing for 6 months to a year. Once they announce a finding for assay they'll get a bump. It's driven hard by the spot price on zinc, so pending on grade. I would think something in the range of 25 - 30% at a minimum to make it work.

There are already offtakes in place, adding value, and if they reach out to the chinese, Wei Hua Group for example, they can get a plant thrown together in about 6 months.

Wei Hua is one i see come up a lot. They have a model where they usually allow a 50/50 joint venture with no capital - they provide the equipment - but they get first take on iron stocks. The other party is allowed to source and sell anything else, as there is no limit. In Africa the group has a huge crane manufacturing plant, so that might play into their favour. A long shot, but its the first thing i thought of after reading the 'state of affairs' for FCR.

Does Hobart have a stock exchange?

How will you trade the ASX?

Whats the conversion from the shiny trinkets and string you use for trade to Australian Dollars?

The Mainland uses the decimal system to as a numeric base. So when you're doing the math, just ignore one of your thumbs on each hand and you wont have much trouble.

sorry, not sorry.

>polite banter
I'll take it m8.

If the government ever allows for the development of some nuclear power plants, which companies would you guys think would grow the most from it? I think this will be a huge gamechanger if it eventually happens but I am not familiar with the sector.

Not familiar with the sector either, but are there even talks about bringing nuclear power to Australia? I thought it was already pretty much ruled out

Still probably a couple decades out but it gets a little bit more likely every year.

Saw someone had XTD what are your thoughts, was looking to get in as they've got 5 year contracts in NSW and QLD. Can anyone tell me why its dropped so much since Beginning of the year?

My pick would be any producer that doesnt have international holder in the top 20 shareholders. Uranium is everywhere here so that'd be the main component i think.

We already have the know how for storage and 'destruction' of waste - CSIRO'S SYNROC program - so id be looking at who will commercialise that when we go down that road. Its be nearly 20 years since I saw it in action, and im suprised i havent seen it 'out there' yet.

It's not about competing with a McDonald-esque company, it's about how your company will work.

Check out the ADE 651. The absolute, complete opposite of a quality product - yet it sold like 60,000 units. Terrible quality, in-fact NO quality, but still made money.

Quality isn't everything in selling as this user pointed out in an informative post.

Does anyone else think IOT's product looks like a flying dildo? I mean, good luck to the swing traders, but fuck me if that's not what it looks like

Currently holding
ICG
NSL
XPE
CAD
TSL
soon as cash is flowing smoother i will be looking into IDO
Only dud for me has been xpe but the redt filled that void easily and have got plenty more room to go

who bought in on the WHC dip?

who bought in on the GXY dip?

who is holding based A2M?
