SF5 really is the best fighting game, even despite all its flaws and Capcom's fuckups. The problem that most people make when comparing fighting games is they compare it to MOBAs or FPS games.
Fighting games are a shit genre because they're dominated by japs. Give it about half a decade and western fighting games will be all that people know.

It doesn't even have a record function, replays, connection quality filters, region filters, a connection quality display, the ability to decline matches online, or the ability to wait in training mode while you're waiting for someone to join your match. It's missing basic features that SF5 had at launch.

Made sense in 3S because parry. Divekick in that game was really good but it wasn't like SF4 where you literally just neutral jump five times and he has to just watch you do it.

Everybody stopped playing SFxT instantly. A few good players kept playing because top8 money, which I think doesn't really count because they didn't put time into it.
People who played MK9 liked it, it was a different crowd from other fighters.
