Are you using Croc? One method you could do is use his special on stage 4. Makes it safer, but obviously, you'd lose the ability to reroll orbs for the burst next stage. You'd just have to farm orbs manually.

there's a few teams that can do 5-6 minute runs, and some people may have gotten lucky with skillups

Just use logic
Bind/Despair/AH will always be useful and WILL enable you to farm some content you couldn't without them
Orbs is RNG and CDR is most of the time just a time save of 3 seconds, in other cases it'll be outclassed by autoheal which'll allow you to stall much more than 2 turns more
Bind/Despair/AH really is the only choice
