Reminder that if you have under 1.5 KPM, 900 SPM, 600 skill, 65% winrate, and 85%+ weapon kills you're garbage

t. 1.5 KPM, 900 SPM, 600 skill, 65% winrate player

skill doesnt mean anything because it can fluctuate so much

The only thing that matters is winrate anyways. Nothing you do has any purpose if it doesn't win games.

>
Press shift to no sway is already in
And it's a shit mechanic

>ever using crosshair with pistol within 30m

Operations are fucking hard for offense. How do I get good at this?

Play aggressively

On pub operations the only excuse a team ever has for losing is that they didn't W+M1 the objective enough

Spam vehicles.

Some advanced tips i learned while playing today
-The lmg from the sentry class actually gets more accurate the longer you fire
-You can make the minimap on your screen way bigger in the options
-You can cancel grenandes by tapping L2 while holding it

>this passes as advanced knowledge for consoleros

I'm going to sound like a casual fuck now, but how do you cancel grenades on pc? Haven't tried it, or if I did it didn't work, but it could be a good thing to know. Just switch weapon?

Is it so much to ask for a fucking battlepack progression bar? I fucking hate this
>"Sometimes you get one sometimes you don't"
crap.

>tfw game runs worst than the beta
>have to run on literal potato graphics just to get 60-70 FPS

> click cavalry in spawn screen
> spawn in as pilot on a horse

REEEEE

I seriously hope there are no backstabbing italians in this thread.

I still dip on Amiens and a few other maps
It looks like my i5 4690k@ 4,4 maxes out

Friendly reminder that Groizians and people from Trieste were pissed about the Italians taking them over.

you switch weapons

Figured as much. Best to double-check, so I don't need to do it and find it not working at a crucial moment.

I've seen videos were the grenade just goes flying with no animation, is this what you mean or just stopping the throw?

>R9 290
hello darkness my old friend

>r9 280
Maybe I should upgrade

>GTX 750 still almost playable

>play kaiserslacht
>play better than I've done all day
>can't even take first sector because people are camping right outside the radius of A and rush off into the enemy trenches instead of actually sticking around to take B
>whichever point I'm not on not only does not get taken, but quickly gets retaken if we've managed it
>the only squad with decent players(not two hillniggers per squad) is locked with three people in it

How hard can it fucking be to move inside the point's capture radius instead of camping a hair's breadth outside of it getting killed over and over?

>can't put AA sights on the infantry versions of scout guns

Cringe. This would make them so much better.

Attack fast before the defense is fully set up, hold one objective, because your retard teammates will all abandon it as soon as it's capped. Pray you have a good tank whore

>still playing this shit

LMAO

They're skins m8. Why are you so angry?

i have gtx760 it aint bad i play on low with mesh quality ultra, still looks nice

Video gaming was a mistake

Do the guys in tanks try to destroy the enemy tanks? No.
Do the guys in tanks defend the points that aren't attacked by tanks? No.
Do the guys in tanks hang back to "farm" three infantry kills when we absolutely need to take back a point this very minute to not lose? YES.

This game can be fantastic when you end up with an actual team playing against another actual team.

I'm angry because I got a sweet gold skin for the baby pistol, and then I learned I needed scout lv 10 to use it

I'm fucking sick of the M97 and 12g being inconsistent trash. I'm done with these dice rolling shit shotguns.

What SMGs am I allowed to use if I don't want to be labeled a mouth-breathing shitter?

/bfg/ platoon which when? We will literally faceroll pubs

Don't forget the plane shits that spend the game killing each other, rather than helping infantry destroy enemy armor.

Why are the console sized maps often better designed in BF4?

Assault is the shitter class unless they're actually focusing on taking down vehicles like they're supposed to.

would be more fun to fight each other than to stomp with no challenge

lots of the planes have decent ground attack options, but the dogfighter has literally no purpose except to shoot down other fighters, it's trash at killing attack planes and bombers even

I just don't get it

Games that force a team to play together and coordinate or lose are highly addictive and more fun. Hopefully (but probably not), DICE gives at least a mod or game type that bathes the base BF1 in the essence of Red Orchestra 2.

While having many less features, that game was significantly more fun given how it literally forced teams to play as a team.

I always forget planes because they're such a non-entity for the gameplay. Either you get some points when you notice one going over you when you're close to an AA(or you can have a boring playtime camping an AA), or you get randomly killed by one when you're busy focusing on actually killing enemies on the point you're taking. It's like a more boring hillnigger, because at least if you spot a hillnigger nest you can flank them and have some fun with explosives.

I just spent about 5 consecutive minutes twirling around another fighter trying to get behind each other
What a waste of time
I eventually snuck off by using a river as camouflage after sharp turn

what is hardcore

hardcore on a good map turns it into the first game that has actually felt like battlefield for 10 years

lack of sniper tier assault rifles keeps the weapon balance from being totally horrible too

>would be more fun to fight each other than to stomp with no challenge

Don't ever say this. The shitters that come here completely disagree and literally never did this once in BF4, one guy even got kicked for killing other BFG members in matches. The people here would literally rather sit in boring spawnrapes over and over and over rather than have any form of a challenge and this went from the bottom all the way up to the top dog leaders of the platoon

That's my goal,

I normally rock support, but I've been getting pub stomped by Tanks lately and I'm sick of it.

I enjoy shooting on planes as they fly past
I also fly a lot so I know how annoying it is

if anyone is actually using AA flying over friendly AA is a great way to shake anyone and turn the tide

problem in 2, 3, 4 was the only counter to planes was other planes, now there's some teamplay

MP18 Experimental

try to be on the team that lost air superiority with decent pilots on the other side and see how much of a "non-entity" they are

Yeah, but once you're stuck in a deadlock where you're flying in circles 24/7 on the edge of the map you're kinda fucked if you fly away, since he'll instantly target and rape you

>not rocking the infinite limpet charges and light anti-tank grenades

Sure you need to sneak up on the bastards and dodge the turret after the first limpet, but it feels more rewarding.

I keep saying, that one could have a completely novel and different type of FPS if they stuck more narrowly to "historicism".

You would end up having a game with one unique team running around with more (But less powerful) tanks, triple-purpose rocket guns, BAR's, and shotguns, while the other team would be carrying SMG's, semi-automatic rifles, anti-tank rifles, and flamethrowers. Additionally, the performance of the team would chain very much with how well the vehicle players work together with the fire support and infantry, in a very, rock-paper-scissors-shotgun way. Then you force a substantial portion of each team to have bolt action iron-sight rifles and then you end up with something substantially different from basically any other game.

This might happen later, but definitely not while the game is still trying to be marketed to more "battlefield" oriented gamers.

since we're basically playing stormtroopers with all the smg's, lmg's, tanks etc, in battles where stormtroopers were actually used, it would be interesting to have an attack/defence mode with one side armed mostly with normal rifles and the attackers using all the fancy gear

the first expansion does seem to be trenches, so maybe

Of course they have an influence if only one side is flying around and can rape infantry at their leisure. Is that a good thing for gameplay? Not really, because nobody likes being killed by a force you can't do anything against except for at an AA station. Is planes having airfights to claim air superiority a good thing for gameplay? Not really, because it only matters to the pilots. It's like two hillniggers having a hillniggering-fight before resuming their work as a hillnigger targeting infantry. Remove planes altogether and you'd lose nothing as far as the overall gameplay goes. Tanks are down-right integral, as a comparison.

If it weren't for a random bomber killing me once every 3 or 4 games I'd forget they even exist.

Yeah, I've even found myself double-checking whether there are planes on some maps.

>nobody likes being killed by a force you can't do anything against except for at an AA station

there's lots you can do against it, air superiority is something you win on the ground, getting extra plane spawns, using AA truck, AA guns, killing AA on the enemy side of the map etc. to keep the other sides planes grounded and yours in the air

I was thinking something more upon the lines of this; but that model could be used too for "Conquest"-mode maps.

>Conquest-mode-->Skirmish mode (flags, but no dedicated attackers/defenders).
>64v64, with the teams broken down like this.
>Limited number of specialist primaries per team that are separated from specific class types.
>British team: 10 LMG's, 4 shotguns, 4 scopes, 2 rocket guns, 2 BAR's, 1 armored car, 1 heavy/light tank in play at one time, with lots, of respawns.
>German team: 5 LMG's, 2 flamethrowers, 2 anti-tank rifles, 4 SMG's, 2 semi-automatic rifles, 4 scopes, perhaps 1 A7V or captured mark IV per round.
>HUDs turned off, that's toggable, no-third person vehicles, LMG's must be deployed to ironsight, damage is solely based on caliber of weapon as opposed to the balance is in play now, repair dynamic and infinite ammunition is turned off.
>Airplane matches are (mostly) contests that more directly affect the game by observation (attack)-planes acting as a UAV for a class at a radio that can more accurately dial in assets. In regards to air, you have one set of secondary (ground attack) weapons and a finite amount of primary. However, planes are much more common in game than they are now (With 2x per team usually in play at any one time).

You will never get "historical" with a game; however this is much more "How it might have been" along any section of the western front 1917-1918 at any one time.

Taking out enemy AA so the airchavs have an easier time sure is more fun gameplay than actually playing the objective.

The point is that the divide between the planes and the infantry is too big, leading to the planes feeling like a random factor rather than something you actively look for at every moment. With a tank every class can take a light anti-tank grenade and whittle its health down. Or they can just run when the tank is in the area. It's actually fun to get shocked when you round a corner and notice a tank coming your way, forcing you to turn and run. With planes you don't get that because they're either having a dogfight or they whizz past. With planes you shoot at it a bit as it flies past if you spot it, maybe you duck behind something or run out of its path, or you get killed by it as it passes. That's all the input it has, and the input you have towards it doesn't even feel worth it unless you're at an AA. Spawning an AA truck to take down a few planes instead of spawning a tank to help your team push an objective is only appreciated if you're already getting fucked by not having friendly pilots.

It worked in BC2 when you had helicopters that were essentially flying tanks and everyone had anti-vehicle stuff. A good pilot could fuck things up, but all the infantry still felt like they had a part in taking it down rather than just relying entirely on the friendly helicopter or someone manning an AA gun.

So is there a way to stop the fucking game loading the next level?

>posting this every thread

you don't dedicate your entire playstyle around it but if air is being a problem there are things you can do about it, and there are proactive things you can do to make sure your airchavs are the one raining death from above instead of the enemies

Alt+f4.

>mfw it's actually quicker

also sniper rifles are basically infantry AA this time around, giving hill niggers a purpose in life, any gun can damage planes, keep shooting it makes a difference

even if you don't get killed, a single hill nigger focusing you down can be extremely annoying and keep you from being much use in the air

I've said it before and I'll say it again; jets and airplanes need to be removed from the game since they contribute absolutely nothing other than hunting enemy armor (which can already be done by ground infantry), farming ground infantry, and having their own circle jerk airchav battles that are akin to shiggies dueling each other across the map

Only reason DICE keeps putting in planes and jets is because "Look, we're a combined arms game!! COD doesn't have awesome jets!"

The only plane I'd be fine with in BF1 is the Bomber, since they essentially fill the same niche as Attack Helos/Little Birds, and make them more susceptible to small arms fire and AT rockets

ground attack plane and trench fighter can absolutely wreck infantry, you wish you have me supporting you in a push for a point

>fire a mortar into a pack of enemies
>enemy hit +30
>spawn on a friendly just as someone is dropping a mortar on his fat stupid butt
>instant death

>things you can do to make sure your airchavs

Why should I care about making things more fun for the airchavs on my team? They matter to me as about as much as the airchavs on the enemy team. They just kill infantry that you'd rather have fun firefights with yourself. Tanks provide moving cover and sometimes resupplies, so they get some love if they do their job. Not to mention dealing with enemy tanks. The most that airchavs supply is some spotting, except they rarely do so, and maybe taking out a tank if they're not too busy dogfighting or farming infantry. Something that your tanks and infantry can deal with on their own.

Your airchav perspective is ridiculous. You actually want people to be of even less use than your usual hillnigger. At least hillniggers take out some infantry and do some spotting when they're focused on the ground. You want them to look in the air and plink away at planes instead, because it's "extremely annoying" to the airchav and causing them to be even more of a non-entity to the other players' gameplay.

>ignores the point
>brags about skill at farming infantry instead

Typical airheaded airchav.

>Tank fag runs around killing everyone. Gets 20 kills before dying
>Literally waits nearly 8 minutes in the spawn screen so he can immediately spawn into the next available tank
>He gets another 15 kills unchecked before the game ends
>Every time the fucker gets low he just fucks off to the hill and self repairs where no one can chase him and finish him off.
>Quits the server next map because the map doesn't have a tank to mindlessly farm his stats on

Why is this allowed? Why is all the AT equipment so goddamn weak, holy shit.

I've killed plenty of planes with my own sniper rifle too

I also turn fights for flags around with bombing runs, it's not farming, I don't go looking for random dudes to shoot

air superiority wins games

Cheating wins games.

Does this mean that cheating is a good addition to the overall gameplay? No.

Congrats, you strafed and got 1-2 people, and now you have to wait 10-15 seconds to do another strafing run which by then the same people you killed are back and contesting again

At least bombers can hover close by objectives and apply consistent pressure, which is exactly the niche helicopters filled in BC2/BF4

>Every time the fucker gets low he just fucks off to the hill and self repairs where no one can chase him and finish him off.

What do you want him to do, sit there?

Use AT mines, just 2 will blow up a heavy tank

On some operations attack planes literally wipe half of the attackers tickets if the pilot knows anything about anything.

bombers take much longer to turn around than attack planes though

Well, i'm not the only one whose autism was triggered when a "World war I" game has a large numbers of people running around with Scoped Selbsladers and automaticos.

as an airchav who probably contributes more to the team than you ever do: please kys

i constantly drop flares on objectives, i constantly give orders to my squad, i constantly spot enemy armor & infantry for my team, i constantly bomb objectives that have enemy infantry on it, i constantly kill lone hillniggers with my plane and on some maps i capture the fucking objectives all alone with my plane

just because you have no fucking clue how to use a plane doesn't mean it should be removed from the game

It's seriously quicker to turn the game off and then back on. Our just wait for the level to load and then quit.

There should a lock-out deal so that you can't get into a tank twice in a row. Not just because of shitters taking up space, but to give more people the chance at grabbing a tank and learning how to play them. I don't care if our team has the best tank player ever, it still sucks a bit when you see them jump straight into another tank after they've been killed. Make it so that the lock-out doesn't count if no-one else has grabbed the tank within a set amount of time, for those rare moments when there's only one guy who actually wants to play tank.

>iron walls 64 players as defender
>church
>first bunker
>second bunker
>third bunker
>bridge
>little AA
It's heaven

The first stage of conquer hell is disgusting as well if you get the attack plane on the defending team. I think at the 3rd sector or something.

>With a tank every class can take a light anti-tank grenade and whittle its health down
And every infantry can shoot at incoming planes to whittle their health down, plus they can aim at the engine, the wings or just the passengers for extra fun
Especially as a sniper you can destroy them hard and let your pilots or AA finish them
Much like in BC2 where you'd snipe the people out of the choppers

Buy Verdun. I don't mean that to be cheeky, but the only way you'll let the execs know it's viable is if you show them sales will be just as good. So buy Verdun.

I have been trying just that, user. It's easier said than done against a competent driver.

I couldn't sneak up on this guy because he was whoring 3rd person camera and every time I tried to flank and get close, he'd drive off and blow me up.

That just leaves the option of setting them in a random choke point and praying he drives on them.

That requires him to make a mistake. He wasn't making any.

I don't blame the guy for bailing when things look bad. But if AT equipment was stronger, than he wouldn't have so much time to escape to safety.

There was one point where I was shooting AT rockets at him across a field, and he just decided to ignore me and head to the next objective. I was such a non threat to him that he didn't even bother slinging a shell at me.

It's fucking demoralizing, user.

>BC2 Noob
>got the game very late
>my first BF game
>pilot flying in a perfect circle around the spawn/flag just reaping in everything
>to this day I still don't know how to do that maneuver

>strafing runs from behind and the sides every 10 seconds while your team is pushing and while plastering the area in flares
>not amazing

You know, i'll just stop bitching about it and wait for mod tools to come out.

>people type 'gg' after literally every game no matter if it was good or bad

Whf is this millenial feel good pat-on-the-back SJW nonsense?

I just type 'nazis btfo' or 'wops rekt' or something oppressive like that.

Circle strafing was cancer in BC2 and was the reason I permanently ragequit every time that desert conquest map showed up in Every game on that map was decided literally by who had the better pilot, and who could circle strafe the the other team's base first.

>BC2 noob
>my first game

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I scrim sometimes and the people I play with will rocket any chopper out of the sky in one try, it's insane

Yeah it was in Atacama desert lol
Sorry I haven't been playing since 1942, fuck off nostalgiafag

>'nazis btfo'
>'wops rekt

kek

How much of a terrible human bean do you have to be to decide not to include chat in the post game stat screen

in bc2 you couldn't even chat in the spawn screen

I wouldn't be surprised. BC2 is pretty old, and the average joes have moved on. The people that are still playing it must be crazy good at the game, at this point.

I... I bought verdun twice

They are
The recons spin around with their SV 98s gibbing you wherever you go while shitting motion balls and c4, the medics will shower you in bullets all over the map, the pioneers will take down your vehicles and somehow snipe you with their stupid little silenced dickguns, and the assaults are kinda just there but will shoot you well regardless
