Ford's bringing it's EcoSport to the US.
For people who didn't know this existed, this SUV(well a lifted Fiesta I'd say) has been present in the Asian and some European markets for atleast 4 years.

Available with 2 engine options.
>1.0L EcoBoost 3-cyl
>2.0L 4cyl (it hasn't said anywhere that this is an EcoBoost)
Choose this engine and get the AWD option.
Both engines come mated with a 6 speed auto.
>That giant 8 inch screen has Android Auto and Apple Car play.
Get the Titanium trim and you'll get the 10 speaker Harman system.
Cool fact : It has 30 storage pockets inside.
Cool fact 2 : It's rear door only opens this way.
>deal with it
Centre console
Cool fact 3 : This car will be on US showrooms from early 2018. Yes, not even the next year.
Cool fact 4: it can't corner at 60 mph or more.
Cool fact 5: It's a god machine.
Many such Pockets!
>1.0L 3-cyl
why 'sport'?
>1.0L EcoBoost 3-cyl
While we're at it, why don't we just stick a dirtbike engine in it? Jesus christ.
they're ugly as fuck and the drive is comparable to a lada from the 60s
I live in Thailand and my company car is a Ford EcoSport. It drives okay but I don't think it's ugly actually.
kek file name
Imagine dinging at the hood of the car parked back.
>a smaller ford escape
were people actually asking for this?
I think Ford wanted something to compete with Mazda's CX-3.
>a smaller cx-5
people were actually asking for this too?
i suppose with america becoming a third world country it makes sense
I don't think so. But Mazda simply just produces it and people seem to like it so far.
No one asked for a smaller C-Class, the CLA. But they are still selling well.
No one asked for a smaller A4, the A3. This is too selling good so far.
Is the giant spare wheel cover compensating for something? The stock tires are several sizes smaller and the wheel openings don't look like much larger wheels would fit under them.
Ford tries to copy Subaru's winning formula: the car
>gas strut on the bottom of the door
Ford why
Because it wouldn't make enough power?
The 1.0L makes the same power that the average 2.0 4 banger made in the 90s.
There is replacement for displacement.
I can't believe body styles like this and the Buick Encore / Chevy Trax are more market viable than wagons.
>there are people that would unironically buy this over a CX-3 or HRV.
.0L EcoBoost 3-cyl
Turbos aren't a replacement for displacement. A 2.0L turbo will produce more power than a 1.0L turbo if everything else is equal
What bugs me about this is that we already have the C-Max in the US, which is basically the same size and shape - the only differences are that the C-max is a hybrid and doesn't have AWD as an option, and it has a normal car ride height. Apparantly Ford would rather go through the cost and expense of importing/introducing an entirely new model rather than actually market what they're already selling...
But this isn't the 90's.
Have fun with more mechanical problems and shit mileage when you are just a tiny bit more aggressive than a prius.
>that giant marketing shit faggot faggot faggot gay fuck shit
So does every other ford (basically all of them) with sync 3.
