Ideally, it wouldn't be a story mode per se, just a whole bunch of short missions where you need to use the starring characters abilities properly to progress. Just a couple of puzzles with some AI battles thrown in would be nice.

Why do so many people insist on letting the attacking team form on the payload and try to defend further back? Isn't it a lot easier to defend if you can keep them from getting all 6 on the payload than hoping you stop all 6 once they've gained momentum?

I'm talking maps like Route 76 and Dorado where they want to let the enemy team push it all the way to the corner for free then contend at the corner.

Enemy can easily get the highground with the path on the left (if you're attacking) and can flank you by going through both tunnels

Guys, help me out here. How do you deal with a team that's defending really well and dishing out serious damage? If I play tank, I'm deleted instantly. If I'm support, I can't deal with all the damage. Most of my lost games aren't because the team is trickling in one by one into the fight or doing other retarded shit like that, but rather because we can't break through the enemy's defense. Anyone got any tips? I'm fine with losing, but I don't like feeling like I haven't given my 100%.

You can accomplish the same thing by defending further up and not allowing the team to set up a free bastion + Rein or torb or whatever combo on the payload and start moving. It's a lot easier to defend when they have to take fire just to reach the payload and those that do get mopped up before they get much momentum.

If you let them get to the corner you're 1 team wipe away from them easily pushing past the gas station and approaching the checkpoint. If you team wipe up front you can still contend on the gas station/first corner
