That model has sad levels of understeer and poor rolling acceleration given its standstill performance. I went elsewhere

Well I can get a brand new 2016 Chevy Cruze for the same price.
Where elsewhere did you go?

I actually ended up torn between a 2015 Toyota avalon and a 2015 Chevy impala. The Avalon was more numb in the steering feel dept compared to the 350 but it's lift off turning was much closer to neutral vs the 350's moderate (surprising given pedigree) understeer.

Ultimately I'd tell you go 2012 if you wanted to get an Es 350. The suspension improvementsystem to the platform were very evident in the Avalon. I did not try a 2012 es350 but my understanding is that the platform is a smidge shorter but otherwise an Avalon and that was a notable improvement for my driving taste despite the aforementioned. I hope this helps but I STRONGLY suggest seat time and make your own call.

Ultimately, I ended up with the Impala for a number of reasons but I'd have been happy with either

Get an LS430 instead

Buying a new car, probably from the dealer too.

Thanks for the information.

How is the Impala in terms of steering?
The 2016 Cruze had some understeering and a lot of tolerance in the steering before the wheels budged, and in general felt numb/sluggish.

>Buying a new car, probably from the dealer too.
Wasting money

Oh you don't have to tell me.
Try convincing my Dad though.

>Try convincing my Dad though.
wew lad, that kind of mentality is what gets people upside down on cars

No I don't think you understand.
It isn't like this JUST on cars, more like, everything.

An ES is just a Camry with extra frills. It's not like the other sedans Lexus offers, which are bespoke.

*Avalon
Just an Avalon, not Camry

2011's are based on the Camry.

IS350 will be a funner car if you can find one for that price.

>Lexus
>Quality
get a Jag m8, quite a few models in your budget

He probably wants a car that works.

U 'AVING A GIGGLE M8?

:^)

My bad

I wish, insurance would be killer though.

>hating on jaguar
whew lad

>defending poo in loos

Pajeet, my son.
We must have car with build in loo, can pajeet make it?

Stand up to your dad you cuck

I drive an '07. It's been super reliable, main known issue on the earlier ones (07, maybe 08) is the water pump. Had mine replaced AFTER warranty, Lexus paid for it anyway as a favor (Lexus has legendary customer service), saved me like $1500.

Anyway it's a perfect luxe DD, grand tourer cruiser type car. I togue it with the local kids but it is not made for that.

Long trips it's amazing.

girls like the comfy and brand, little do they know it's worth less than a Kia :^)

I did dude. I don't think you know how Dad's work though.

Hehe, grills do like it. Really considering it for that reason ;)

i dont understand how these cars have open alcohol in the car

>Dad that's a terrible idea
>Ok son if you say so
>He disagrees but respects my decision otherwise
Maybe you and your dad are just retarded.

My (slav) dad buys from the dealer because he trusts the dealer, and he buys from the same dealer too.
I don't understand it and I can never change his mine.

Maybe its just there for the photo, i dont think bippufags actually drive around with a half empty bottle of ciroc in the back seat cupholder. They probably get pulled over enough as it is

So buy a car with your own money instead

>Cheap Luxury Cars
Pick up an old lincoln from an old person. Maybe will run you 2-4k for one thats decent.
Town Cars are nice.
Mark VIIIs are less luxurious but have more power.

I bought my Mark VIII for 750. Im slowly fixing her up to work as new.

Been eyeing getting a B8 S4 for around 22k. Wondering if this is a good car.

>Audi
>good

get a Buick instead

Posting risky business in this thread

>hey let's build an everyman luxury car
>accidentally exceeds even the Audi A8
>mad depreciation because no one wants to have a VW badge on a luxury car

...

I could buy a cheap civic. But I would rather get a newer car from my dad.

Repairs are expensive :/

Why not buy a cheap LS430 light the others suggested? They're reliable and you can find them for under $10k

Czeched
And because I am looking for a car with low miles, from a dealer with warranty.

>And because I am looking for a car with low miles, from a dealer with warranty.
Don't be a normie, a Lexus will run for ages with no problems as long as you do some basic maintenance

I can get the Phaeton for cheaper with less miles.

I would but I cannot, my bank won't lend me money for such an old car.

>maintenance

>taking a loan out for a car
How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

18, my dad is the one taking a loan out, and his credit score is near perfect.

THIS IS AS LUXURY AS YOU CAN GET

Topkek dont be a little shit just pick up an old LS430 or 400 off craigslist for like 5k. Trust me

Well my dad objects.
He would rather buy me a brand new cruze.

Just an acura tl type S

>18
>dad taking a loan out for you
>won't let you make your own choices
>wants you to buy a brand new shitbox because "muh warranty"

Because those are nice and cheap

>BMW
>Luxury

Sorry, you misunderstood
My dad is paying for the car, I will not be.
I am acting like a spoiled bitch because I don't want my parents to get a car like the cruze when they can get a used luxury car for the same price, if not cheaper.

CHECK OUT THESE FUCKING LUXURIOUS SEATS

pay for your own car, ask them to use that money for your education instead

I do not have that kind of money on hand.
There is also another reason why he wants to buy a new car, because my current car is "unsafe" for winter.
>mfw he thinks cruze will do well on snowy roads

What kind of money do you have? Anyone can afford an LS400 these days

And anything can do well on snowy roads with winter tires

>That seat position
Midget or land mine casualty?

>my current car is "unsafe" for winter.
What is your current car?

Over 180cm of pure comfiness m8, I don't like reaching for pedals

$200, but I have a lot in stocks and I have my own eBay store and small side vape business.

2003 Suzuki Aerio SX
Pic related
No ABS, no TC or stability control
fun to drive though.

Wait, what? I'm only 13 centimetres taller than you and if I sat in that position, my knees would be next to my ears. How do you make that work? Does the E36 have some sort of Narnia-closet foot well or what?

So how is that dangerous? Is it rusting to pieces? If not then just slap some winter tires on it

I'm slightly amazed that you could get a car in 2003 that didn't have ABS.

I dunno I usually have the seat all the way in front and the back of the seat laid back. 13 centimeters more is actually a lot I think
>not wanting to drive without babby assists

It needs a new axle, shakes like hell over 55 mph
Winter tires help, but the car still locks up at moderate speeds. I can't drive this thing at all on ice or in a snowstorm.

Me too.

It's becomes risky business in the winter, user.

>becomes risky business in the winter

>something's broken, guess I better get a new car
Dude a new half axle and CV boot is like $35 on Rockauto, and an alignment after that is all you need to get it running properly again

>the car still locks up at moderate speeds
Locks up like when you slam the brakes on snow or ice?
Yeah ABS isn't gonna help there. You need to be smoother on the brakes and keep more distance between you and the car ahead of you, also engine braking helps

No I'm not a cuck. I just want to avoid an accident. I've driven the car through last year's winter season too, it can be rather frightening at times.

I wouldn't say slamming your breaks is the only time it locks up, but you're right. I try to do those things mentioned but its hard when your late to your classes hehe

Leave earlier, a new car isn't going to help your driving

Easier said than done

With that attitude sure

:^)

My cheap Lexus: '96 ES300, bought with 203k miles for $1600 from a guy who owned it since '98 and took great care of it. Have put on new brakes all around and new rear swaybar bushings. Doing the timing belt and a few other odds and ends over thanksgiving. Also have some snowtires mounted on Camry steelies ready to go. It's been an awesome turn-key commuter for me so far.

How many miles in that picture

Damn I miss my '98 ES300, it was black on black with the Nakamichi sound system
My parents were gonna scrap it put I fixed it up for $400, drove it throughout highschool and sold it for $2000

Nearby dealer have a 2008 328i with 117000 mile on it, how much should i pay? They list it at $9500

>BMW
$0.00

If only there were websites that told you that kind of thing...

>not one mention of getting a tricked out 07 Mazda 3
>leather

>sunroof
>get some alloys on that shit too nigga
>130K mile good-condition examples can be had for no more than 4k

that was the day I bought it, 203k miles. I've probably put on about 1500 or so since then.

I'm amazed by how nice the interior has held up, the engine is glass smooth and transmission shifts better than a lot of new cars I've driven. The only "issue" is a clunk shifting from park to reverse and a bit of a 'rocking' when getting on the gas and letting off, I suspect a tired rear motor mount. Suspension amazingly enough is all original. Struts, ball joints, control arms, everything except the $30 sway bar bushings that I replaced to solve a clunk out back. To be frank the car could use some fresh struts to deal with expansion joints at high speed a bit smoother, but they're not wobbly or blown out at all.

Really impressed both by how well these are made, and how well the PO kept it up. This guy took it to the Toyota dealer for oil changes at 5k on the nose right up until the end, got the transmission serviced at regular intervals, etc.

Rear brakes were rather crusty, fronts were warped. $150 for a Powerstop 4 wheel disk kit, been happy with them so far.

Prematurely rusting, noisy, rough riding shit compared to just about any Lexus

>Gee guys why doesn't anyone compare an econobox to a luxury brand?

Sounds like you've done well. Excellent!

I see you like dangers

>literal rust box for a winter car
Wanna know the best bit of this image? They don't even use road salt in Quebec

Danger is my middle name

Yup

I got mine for under $16000 with only 55k miles on it this year.
