Any reason to run nicer oils than Walmart Supertech?
Any reason to run nicer oils than Walmart Supertech?
yea theres reasons
Care to explain then? Because imo oil is oil.
Shitty oil gunks up your engine. I have to run bestu nippon motoru oiru because of my rotary.
What oil has the lowest NOACK value? I fell for the Ecoboost meme and want to avoid dirty valves as long as possible
>oil is oil
maybe to your 1989 shitbox
Supertech is actually a really good oil for the price. It tests better than some name brands.
better oils have better detergents and less % solids that can gunk up your engine
They also have better ability to withstand heat and don't degrade over long term use
My 2000 Buick Lesabre has had Supertech since it rolled off the lot and it's at 240,000 miles so I would say you are gay OP
For the average Veeky Forums user, no, but when I can get Mobil 1 synthetic for the same price A/R, it's a no brianer.
>inb4 lol rebates
No full synth 0W-30 with acea a5/b5 class available.
Ha, I actually use supertech in mine because it just leaks out anyway. I use their outboard oil for premixing, too.
Other cars get Valvoline Synpower.
Some people feel the difference. I just use the same semi-sythetic that everyone does for my motorbike, for them at least so long as its the right viscosity and has none of the friction modifiers that car oil has its all good.
Only thing you need to watch out for is the wrong type of oil in the wrong cars, I here full synthetic is too good for old engines and cleans out the gunk that holds it together.
If it is just a normal daily driver and not a "performance" engine it will be fine.
>oil is oil
use DG brand oil senpaitachi
Its pretty much all I use.
Engineer fag here, if it has the SAE stamp on the back, it meets the minimum requirements for what your engine was designed for. If you really want some detergents or cleaners in your oil look at adding in your own additives.
>SA rated
>We're on SN
Wtf why would they make this shit oil. I bet canola oil is probably better lol
god knows what walmart oil is
Idk why they sell this shit. Vato Zone carries it too. I'm sure plenty of people have unknowingly bought it and fucked shit up
It's great for use where you don't want a bunch of additives. Such as for oiler cans and pre 1930 cars.
>anything you read here is fiction and only a fool would take it for true
I know your kind...
