Mustang
Camaro

Trasn Am
Mustang
Camaro
GTO (MAYBE)
Fox Body (mustang I know)
300zx turbo (mid 13's 1/4 stock on todays tires)

Be more specific with the muscle cars. What year? engine? trim?

You could buy an old AE86 for that price, then with the left over money you could dump into the trans differential and motor to have some real fun.

Fuck you, don't tell me what to do. Google faggot.

and still be slower than a stock Trans Am

idk if I'm about that import lyfe. Plus if I'm just looking for straight line speed isn't it gonn take way more money to get it out of a 4 banger than a v8?

500 abarth

Late 70s Camaro/Firebird with a performance 350.

did you even read the thread? I know it sounds nice but you'll never find one for less than 10k and they aren't straight line fast.
Could you really squeak this for less than 10k?

define fast

>fast in straight line
>suggest an overpriced corolla

g35 rwd coupe

>loud
Take off cats put on your exhaust of choice
>fast (straight line)
it's speedy enough. if you want to be some racerboy, then there's a bunch of bolt ons
>not ugly
No, the g35 coupe is one of the most gorgeous coupes you've seen
>somewhat practical
Yep. you can daily drive it
>less than 10k
Yep. Used g35 coupe can go for around $10k with higher mileage.

Just keep the Vq engine well oiled/changed as that generation of engine consumes oil.

Nowadays you can get a New Edge Mustang GT for cheap.

The New Edge was kinda weak sauce, but if you can get one for a good price, you can spend the rest of the money tuning up the 4.6.

I have a VW that runs mid 12's so I mean at least that whether by mod or stock

kek

Didn't even think of this one, great suggestion user I'll keep it in mind

I get people telling me the modulars are garbage, do you think they're worth modding over a pushcuck 5.0?

This is now a we-find-this-fuck-a-deathtrap-on-Craigslist thread.
Where do you live, OP?

I own a '07 GT
It's pigfat, but it had 300 crank HP stock, and it was certainly no pushover.

I love it, although the manual transmission is slightly clunky

I have a few bolt ons that really wake it up, although it certainly isn't a warpspeed-eurobeat-rocketship

I like your initiative. I'm on Cape Cod (Mass)

>fast car
>Under $10,000

No lad.

>I have a VW that runs mid 12's so I mean at least that whether by mod or stock

then something with an LS seems to be the easiest way

Camaro or Firebird

Did someone piss in your nigger-o's this morning? gtfo

seems straight forward to me. I know my way around a wrench and with the support for ls mods I'd imagine it's a cake walk compared to other engines I've modded

I live in Europe so it doesn't really help the OP, but there's a 700whp turoboed 535i E34 for sale for around $8k in my country.

autogidas.lt/bmw-535-e34-750ag-turbo-sedanas-1989-0128538903.html

No, you just have unrealistic expectations.

Unless you want a shitty catfish Camaro, or a Box body Poon tang, you won't find anything fast for under 10k. And those 2 aren't even fast.

Bam: An S10 with "supercharge 502 hp smallblock 402 hp create motor turbo 400 trans 144 supercharger / rootblower".
So at least 400 horsepower, and sounds like it can do your gardening for you too.
(Yes, I know he means Roots-type supercharger)

>musclecar
>not fast in a straight line
wut

...

this looks right up my alley.
Is a build like that in budget?

You just described a Harley Davidson

400HP in a RWD vehicle with most of its weight over the front wheels.

It'll supercharge itself into the nearest tree the moment you step on the gas

Harley's aren't fast, aren't practical, and aren't cheap. Try again.

Foxbodies are slow as fuck

LS1 Fbodies are low 13 second cars stock

He wants 7500. Leftover money for nitrous/when-it-goes-bang fund
capecod.craigslist.org/cto/5867635640.html

Alternatively, you can go full sideways into a crowd of onlookers at the next meet with this 97 Mustang Cobra. Claims to have a built rear end. 5400 bucks, so room for adding your own lethal touch.
capecod.craigslist.org/cto/5860156031.html

Possibly hence the "rootblower" mentioned in the ad.
It all comes together now, gentlemen.

That Cobra doesn't look bad either, especially for the price and foundation it offers

94 Corvette, allegedly with an LS1 and Manny the Tranny on board.
capecod.craigslist.org/cto/5879915760.html

The first mod OP will have to make to that Mustang is a new paintjob that isn't peeling faster than a leper's skin

>top filename 2016

I'm fine with that. I work in a bodyshop and can paint it myself all pretty like

d

That Cobra does look like a nice base for a project, and 5k should be enough for some dank-ass bolt ons.

If you're willing to hoof it to Long Island, somebody is offering a 95 Trans Am with a new-ish built motor, shift kit, linelock and nitrous (one gentle previous owner...) for the paltry sum of five grand.
boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/5859622992.html

brb having a quick nut after seeing this, it's black an everything what beauty.

>1980-90 Muscle Cars
>Fast at all, straight line or not

Wut

Z32 300ZX is the best thing you could drive. Only do it if you're willing to learn how to be a mechanic and have the internet to learn. Otherwise, a simpler/newer car would be better.

Is a 5 second 0-60 time not fast for you?

We're on a budget. "LOLbuyHellcat" isn't really in the cards here, is it?

How difficult/expensive would it be for OP to tarbo one? I know nothing of these creatures (One of which - non-turbo - can be had for four grand in Attleboro: boston.craigslist.org/sob/cto/5877398207.html)

The Mustang GT fits it user, perfectly.

No. Fast starts at 4.5 and under.

If you're on a budget, you don't get fast cars.

I've seen so many G35 coupes and G37s... they are seriously as abundant as corollas around my city...

They are honestly not that good looking either. And the fanbase is well... Civic tier.

>Arbitrary limits
>Everybody else doesn't get it
>No fun allowed

You seem like a fun person.

Im looking for
>RWD
>manual
>i6
>Not bmw tier to fix
>Not truck or suv
