Not at all hard. I don't have rose tinted nostalgia goggles. I liked Vanilla, I had a lot of fun with it, but I'm not stuck in the past. I do support official Legacy servers though since there clearly is interest.

Besides the point anyway, the fun parts of vanilla are the parts outside of raiding. Only reason I raided on nost was to better slay nerds in wpvp

people have asked CMs before, it's a non issue as long as you aren't getting any real advantage from them, but they recommend not using it because blizz can't be sure whether the source of these mods isn't trying to fuck you and steal your account. I'd recommend avoiding anything that directly messes with memory, and not just with the casc/mpq system
and take care with screenshots, it can be really awkward to explain this shit to guildies

I personally have been using these kind of mods for a good amount of time and never had any trouble, just go to Darknest if you're interested in it
