What's wrong with Cummins?
FEEL THE GLORY!!!
DD S60 always solid. I've been driving this old shitbox International with a DT466 in it. It is underpowered garbage, but goddamn those are great engines. Beat the hell out of it all day erryday and it just keeps going. The newer International engines are trash and the Cats in the KWs are straight but like to blow gaskets when you really beat on them. Probably because a 7.3L engine shouldn't be whipping 40k+ lbs around a city all day.
Toyota 2L
OM617 or go home. Literally the Aryan of the diesel world
what's it like to tune one?
Basically like throwing more coal and upping the pressure of an old steam boat
Buh- But the DT466 is only ~7.6L
As for favorite? Any 71 series is fine by me.
>dat sound
OM60x are better in every single way.
Better power, higher revving, smoother running, more tunability, and equal in reliability.
>The 603.96 engine has a capacity of 2996cc and was an engineering marvel in pre-chamber design and a technological leap forward from the earlier 5 cylinder OM617. It produced 143 hp at 4600 rpm (euro market without catalytic converter produced 148hp) and 195 ft.lb at 2400 rpm with a compression ratio of 22.0:1.
Am I supposed to be impressed?
yes, it was a massively impressive engineering achievement in it's day.
Marzedis OM602
Pigiot XD 4.88
Perkin 4.108
Ferd 4AB
Natsun SD22
>muh cummins
Doing a om606 swap into my is300 in a year or so. Already found a donor car. :)
Why?
God I hate yurofags
>diesel
Why the fuck not?
>not liking diesel
This engines can run million miles easily. But yeah 200k miles in a petrol engine are nice.
Because its a sin and you will go to hell.
yeah? and my bicycle can last that long too so fucking what?
Then ride your bike. There is a chance to lose some weight burger.
>best diesels
>posts toyota engine
Your bike will not last 300k+ miles.
OM617 engines are fucking great, but OM603 and OM606 are upgraded 617's
Ugh, what about OM612 and OM628? All ya fags forgeting dat new gen diesels but srlsy OM612 is great. I own one
M57 is GOAT
My nigga
The OM606 is basically an OM603 with electronic pump and better dual cam cylinder head.
There is little to no relation to the OM617.
You didn't get it, OM603 and OM606 were made to do the same shit, 1997 toyota hilux and 2016 toyota hilux are diffrent but still they are pick-ups
2.9TD is the ultimate R5 diesel engine
>a pickup is a pickup
>a car is a car
>an engine is an engine
Whats the point.
Is that the OM602 from the SsangYong, or the Sprinter?
M57
300k miles and counting
my friend had a 575k mile E46 330d still running on stock engine reliably
That from W210 and G-class
Am I talking to a fucking mentally retarded person? SUCCESSOR FROM OM617 IS OM603, DO YOU GET THE POINT NOW?
Then its same one of the Sprinter I think.
Have you ever been tested for Schizophrenia?
No. Have you ever tested your IQ?
You should. Hopefully with the right treatment you can start to lead a normal life.
Also, I don't have an IQ. Why do you keep bringing up Toyotas?
