Only characters who don't actually need a projectile like Charlie are allowed to have good projectiles and the characters who need projectiles (fang, ibuki, juri) aren't allowed to have good ones.

and how is training mode basic? you can set up anything you need to test and even have it randomly alternate between different recordings, it just needs to save settings. a feature that shows hitboxes would be good too

If they mean by new characters that are not part of SFV in some way than that's another thing.
So at the moment there is literally no reason trying to guess any of them without any clarifications.
