Poor people DIY car shit to save money

>Poor people DIY car shit to save money
>Need a garage to DIY shit
>Poor people can't afford a garage
>Rich people who can afford a garage also don't need to DIY shit to save money, or even own shitters that break down to have to worry about it

:^))))

Why do you need a garage to DIY shit?

>what is middle class?

something that is slowly dying in the US.

It's not like I can get under my car outside in winter.

Rig up some tarp wind blocks.

Get free tarps on CL or possibly from lumber yards/sawmills/Home Depot type stores. Ask for lumber tarps.

Get a propane heater, pretty cheap used. Since you are on Veeky Forums I'm assuming your a man and therefore have a grill or at least a tank.

Rig up a tent type thing one long one going over hood/side of car and one facing the wind. Use old rug or carpet. Free from dumpsters and possibly carpet stores/CL. Look for companies that install and aren't a chain.

Also wear plastic surgical type gloves, keeps your hands warm. If working in the engine bay warm that bitch up then work on it.

Pussy. I've worked outdoors under my car when it was 5 degrees outside (Fahrenheit you fucking commies). I just shoveled first so I wouldn't be lying in snow. Protip: if you can't afford snow pants, wear flannel pajamas under jeans. Stays warm for hours.

>want to diy cause fun as well
>no garage cause barracks
>can't rent just garage

>Waaah mommy it's too cold

Lying with your back on cold ground gotta be pretty bad for your body. You're right though, I can't even go outside without a cap, gloves and a scarf when it's colder than +10 Celsius.

I lay something down always. Old carpet, wood, or cardboard, etc.

It keeps your back clean if ground is dirty.
Somewhat absorbs any liquid that may be spilled.
Insulates from cold

good thing I'm rich

Live in an apartment that doesn't allow you to wrench in the parking lot.
So you have to drive to an empty wall mart parking lot to do your work.

What base are you on? Guessing small or not CONUS, I've been stationed at Lejeune, Pendleton, and K-Bay. Each of them had an auto hobby shop that was capable of doing most DIY jobs.

Army at peterson afb.
Carson has one I've been told.
But I want something I can keep it in, what I want to do isn't simple diy. So I need the option of overnight.

>Scarf
Either you're gay or some kind of numale.

I honestly can't remember wearing a scarf in my entire 23 years of living.

>Long johns and carharts for when it's so cold out the snow squeaks as you walk across it

you should try wearing a jacket

DIY is fun.

Grew up poor, got a decent garage and a bitchin' set of tools

Wrench on fun stuff all the time.

This

rain mostly
and not having to lug tools and parts back inside

>Lugging parts around
It's not like my tools are laying around out and about anyways.

I have this weird habit where I put things away after I'm done with them.

Walking an additional 20' won't kill you.
