You can find them on Craigslist for a couple hundo and a small diesel will easily put out 20 pounds of torque and be about the same size

They are tiny, you start them with a pull cord that is part of the engine.

They have their own carb

They are a modular unit. Basically it's a box with a 1" shaft, all you have to do is how to couple it to your driveline

Thank you for V8s, body on frame construction, and needing nothing but oil changes.

But then I'd have to get the right pully for the rear and if it doesn't fit then I'd have to get a new final drive shaft Or find a CVT drive pully that would fit it. It seems like too much "ifs" for me. Also since it sits upright I'd have to get rid of the storage bucket under the seat. Which then I'd probably have to modify the seat. I'f I had some throw away funds I'd totally try it though.
