Fight on the edge of the woods on the campaign map so that you get the battlemaps where most of the map is open, with appropriate dots of forest for hiding. It still counts as forest.

Wood Elves is Total War Arena:the faction. Lots of running around. A lot of the new maps are really Arena like too which is neat.

WS is measured from 1-10
A wood elf Eternal Guard has a WS of 5 which is excellent for rank-n-file
5 which is much higher than 3

Upgrade when you can prep, also set up ambushes. There's like only 2 entrances to that province and make friends with the ice elves and set a tribe as a war target.
They usually wipe out atleast one stack

This is the battle that starts ontop of a huge ass mountain top. If i attack, then its fine. If i encircle, then it bugs out

If you want to use tabletop values, weaponskill is the most irrelevant stat in the entire game in Warhammer.

The point is in the chaos of battle your superior skill often gets overshadowed by some bad luck, or maybe t. Human's buddy stabs you while you're focused on the dude in front of you.

Quick battles work, just be ready for meme armies.
