Hardcore is funnish if you play the game as a roguelike, but the whole "fun" aspect goes out the window when you're doing stuff like mapping on your Hardcore character.

Plus, Hardcore is fucking garbage when it comes to actual build diversity and build power. You just sort of plink around for a few hours, finally start to build up a head of steam, and then die to some random nonsense and start over again at the boring part.

It's even better now that they've increased the base range so that unarmed isn't too painful to play without inc aoe.

Eyes and groin are decent targets, but only if the opportunity presents itself. A kick to the knee or an elbow to the nose or stomach is just as effective in the short term and then you can follow up with a groin shot if it's not enough.

Also if you're in a real fight, never ever grab the other person. Your hands are far better used for blocking or hitting and having someone close enough to be grabbed means you're vulnerable to all sorts of attacks.

Watching "fights" like that webm is painful.

My problem with that build is that you really want to go duelist for the 100% block chance applied to spell block

But if you don't go Scion for the combo of Gladiator/Guardian, you can't get block capped on tree/shield alone using The Surrender, the highest you can get is 70%

So is 70% block/spell block better or worse than 75% block 60% spell block (assuming you use a Stone of Lazwhar). You could also use the Anvil for 78% block/23% spell block plus more life on block.

neither stack, go for fire + lightning

The golem aura doesn't stack afaik but i'm not sure about that node "A matching golem" seems to imply it only applies once.
