Literally any stock RWD car with an LSD

Rx8 pretty gud for drift

350z

People are going to be butthurt when I say this, but pic related was literally designed to be the perfect drift car.

>prius tires so losing traction is easy and predictable
>only driving modes are no drift (ESC on) safe drift (ESC half on) max drift (ESC off)
>lacks torque so you have to learn how to initiate drift with more than power
>communicative steering and good balance

...

rach?

Just be sure to make it front heavy

/thread
Not even implying.

What is ESC?

emasculated sissy coward

how's high school?

As said, new the toyoburu threesome, miatas depending on generation (and even then the few simple mods meme applies)
Older mustangs (new edge and older), Nissan 350Z's are decent, a lot of Lexus'.
All you need is RWD to drift desu, and an LSD helps a lot. the rest just comes down to how much you wanna spend.
I can drop 5k on a NB, rear camber kit and it'll drift just fine, assuming I have an LSD

Aoi shirasaki

SAAB 99. It's light in the back, and it's fun to be smug when you out perform RWD users.

a front heavy, 1300kg FWD car is a good drift car

you heard it here first folks

If you're not a pleb.

Ok so the 99 is an impeccable car but it is in no way a drift car.

do you even know what a drift is you dumb piece of shit

"best drift car" means, to me, the most satisfying car to drift, not the easiest.
It's really satisfying to drift a SAAB 99.

except you can't drift a FWD car you imbecile

slight lift off oversteer and handbrake turns are not drifts.

AE86 meme obviously

>Older mustangs
This. They don't get enough credit as drift missiles.
Seriously, I had so much fun in my old sn95.

How has no one in this thread mentioned the s13 240sx yet?

I've often heard on Veeky Forums that old mustangs are the best kept secret in drifting. Not old enough to be classic, not new enough to be worth anything, but good for picking up cheap and tuning.

>S13

>>>STOCK

Also because it's not.

You don't need gobs of power to drift

Why do I have to see daily threads with this same stupid fucking picture...

>i'll bite
Electronic Stability Control, shit makes sure to adjust the wheelspin of individual wheels to non-fun levels incase of traction slip.

This

Also, LSD which is hard to get on a sub-30k car

thanks senpai

on the BRZ im starting to wonder if it does anything at all.

you leave it on TRC off in any case, all year round.

>drifting
You have to be 18+ to use this website.

...

uhh, no.

might be good for SMALL powerslides but not really powerful enough for serious drifting.

the BRZ is a good PLATFORM to make a driftcar out of, but OP said stock.

I'd say SN95's are good bang for buck.

what about a TVR?

to expensive

affordability wasn't part of what was asked

Goats are life

Brand new, stock?

Low Power/Low Cost:
AE86 Sprinters and Corrollas
>not even memeing
Volvo 740s
Any Lada
Datsun 810

Mid Power:
350Z
Foxbody 'Stang
Monte Carlo SS
Actually, in regards to the above two, any muscle car with narrow tires and LSD/Positrack
RX-7/8

High Power/High Cost:
Snek
Lexus
Any super car with LSD - ESC/TC

>drifting in Snek

You realize what made the Viper infamously dangerous, right?

E36 325 or 328 is goat

This.

Doesn't mean it isn't good at it.

>own an 04 stang with v6 engine
Good for drifto?

Only with MT. AT won't let the rear tires break free.

>having to ask
MT of course

>torque converter
>converts torque into slush

It isn't though. It has a shitload of mechanical grip that vanishes instantly if you go 0.01% over the limit. You're either going straight or in circles.

>Owns the epitome of a highschool girl car
>We're supposed to know it's manual

>Best stock
S15 by far. The last specialized drift car made until the BRZ came out. Has everything you need in stock (assuming it's spec R) and enough power too. Stiffened chassis, anti-roll bars, Z32 front brakes.
The car itself is perfectly balanced and not heavy, it's also relatively small. Mechanically simple, no cancerous traction control that you have to turn off like a retard every time you start.

Why is this? Why did all high school girls want one?
Were they secretly drifting without their parents permission?
