No, but there has been lots of similar fakes. None of them hold water.

I don't think it feels any different from how it has ever been.
Strong low level scrubby play tactic, but lot less seen in high level play. Like it always seems to be in KoF.

My favorite fake was KOF XIII Unbreakable Match.

That even had multiple different fake photos off screen.

If only shitbrain meme players like LTG played KOFXIV often, it might have gotten more attention in the west.

Kula spin to win can be annoying. Though I recently checked things on lab and realized that both her followups for the spin have gap in them, so if you have proper dp just throw that there after spin.
In corner you can also go for throw with any character after the spin for even less risk.

Though after looking that up, I've fought only one Kula who wasn't very good, so I haven't properly tested that shit.

But speaking of characters that are bitch to play against.
God damn Leona. The energy ball + godly flashkick(handspinthing?) means that there is no getting close to her. And when she comes to you, it's high/low town with her way too good overhead.

I get the impression that that guy's audience is already mentally married to Capcom stuff, just a hunch that it'd make no difference.
I'd sooner bet on Maximillian's Rock focus on a new game - then again, I noticed no new videos of his about the PSN or Steam ports of Garou...

If he does any he'd probably get shat on online. He didn't make it to Kain on arcade mode on that one Garou video he made.

Garou arcade mode is ridiculously hard though. I've never gotten to Kain withtout cheating with save states.

No amount of training mode can get you in touch with playing against moving doing opponent.

Then there is also the fact that I play long(ish) sets against people who kick my ass, but when I encounter someone I can get wins over, they run. Not bitter though.

Romance is a cool dude if you ask me. Pretty solid support on SNK's part to promote KoF there in the west. That and he is a very good player too if you ask me.
