Doesn't even look malnourished just because the textures are too smooth and not gaunt, covered in dirt, etc. Also, like the rainbow colored trees. Doesn't seem to be GPU dying levels of bad quite yet.

How does one fix that?

Just get a new graphics card? Mine is 5 years old.

Honestly looks more like a texture issue than an actual GPU issue, since it's present only on some of the trees, but don't take my word on that.

Not hm, but I recall hearing the rainbow problem is caused either by AA, or antistropic filtering, when used on AMD cards, since AMD can't figure out how that shit works really.

Turn those off, or as low as possible, might fix it.

The workshop DLCs depend on if you like settlement building or not, though they do add other features like companion tracking, and craftable weapons/armor/ammo/clothing/food that aren't wholly workshop related

Try downloading and installing the New Vegas Anti Crash mod, as that may fix the problem, if not, IIRC, there is some old Nvidia dll you can download to fix it.

In the near future no, but there are several large landmass mods being made, but they are still pretty early in production.

The ones I know about are
1. Lonestar, set in Texas
2. Cascadia, set up near Seattle

so six years from now

So I tried out FO4 shortly after release, but stopped playing it because everything felt dumbed-down and too streamlined.

Now I figure I'll give it another try now that mods are a thing. I'm not looking for anything ridiculous at this point, basically just:
1) performance fixes to remove the stuttering
2) mods that fix the dialogue wheel bullshit
3) anything to fix the skill/perk/special system to make it like previous games instead of a retarded skill tree like skyrim
4) any other "must have" mods
