They grow on you in my experience. I found the 4th gen Firebirds to initially be very ugly but over time I grew to like their appearance. Still dislike the melted shape though.

But it's like I've said, you get more bang for the buck, it's way cheaper and easier to buy any F body with an Lt1 and mod it to run 10s rather than buying and modding an NA Honda 4 cylinder.
I'm not downing on Honda engines, I'm just saying if you want a quick, NA car that can achieve 10 seconds with little work than the F body is the better option.

Most of them have it right, there are some minor drawbacks, but they really are minor when compared to the pros;

Had an identical one, except with a t56 and the stock ws6 pack wheels, and the hood wasn't fucked...but it was ram air. Also glass t tops.
Anyways, it sat low and felt good to drive, but was a bit loose. Got incredible LS1 gas mileage, but was slow as fuck.
Probably the most beautiful car i've driven, but so overrated power wise. Literally raced it with a good driver in my 2v gt and was the same speed. Of course, any LS forum or fanboy will claim they are faster than all things ever made.

My gf owned a 2v gt. Worse mileage and nowhere near as fast as the ls1.

Just got done swapping out my alternator for a truck unit. 145 amps instead of 103, should let my battery last a bit longer and run my cockpit electronics without as much strain on the electrical system. Not hard to work on either.

A stock LS1 leaves a stock 2V like nobodies business, and I'm a Ford guy. I was door to door with New Edge Mustang in my ex's LT1 T/A and I got roasted by an LS1 Z/28 in it. So your story holds little water.
