Hey Veeky Forums

I am not a big car guy, but I will probably be buying a pickup truck within the next few months.

I was looking at used f150s in my area, and it would seem the low mileage ones (10k-15k) are nearly the same price as new trucks from a dealership.

Why is this? Is the f150 known to hold value?

What is the general take on the f150, my father has a frontier but it sucks big time. I'd be getting a base model f150 with the smallest engine and cab.

Thanks Veeky Forums

The current gen hold their value extremely well.

I think their ugly as fug, but their selling extremely well.

Do they still make them in stick?

> Is the f150 known to hold value?

lol no. It's more of a throw away truck, Same with Dodges. Ford sells so many F150's because most people buy a new one every 4 years, flooding the used market.

Hmm, so it might be worth it to purchase it new?

I am buying a piece of property that I will be repairing myself, that is why I need the truck. Should I just outright buy a used cheap one in order to put more money into repairs, or should I lease a new one?

The new one would only be like 1.9% APR which really surprised me as being very low. Is this typical for car buying?

negative

Yes, and if your actually interested in one, you should spend some time and do your research on FTE or one of the numerous other Ford Truck forums, not this shitty weeb meme hole.

I wouldn't lease one, spend all that money, and at the end of it have nothing to show. Buy it.

Gonna post in this thread too cuz I dont wanna make a new one

Basically looking for a car for shitty winters, (live ~2.5hrs north of toronto) and one I can put my bikes into

Is this any good? Are they generally reliable vehicles?

Apologies, I meant finance. Not lease.

>Same with Dodges
u wot m8.
20 year old dodge's are still on the road doing work.
20 year old chebbies are just on the road because mexicans like them.
20 year old fords aren't on the road anymore.

Should mention my road NEVER gets plowed, only when its complete aids out so I kinda a touch of offroad ability

If you live in the rust belt you won't see a 20 year old anything.

this desu senpai

Pretty sure you don't know what the rust belt is.
You mean the salt belt.

Perfect example of what a shitposter you are.

You're not thinking.
Look at your chart and what it includes.
You'll notice that the salt belt is much bigger than the rust belt.

Thats not what he means actually

Rust belt is an economic area, not salting roads?

Should I finance the f150 or just buy something used? What will get me more value for my money?

Lease a new truck.
