Made a BMW reliable and fast.

>inb4 someone posts the LS1 S2000

hi

that's a joke right ?
or a test bench for the drivetrain or smth

>VAG and a northstar v8
King of shit taste.

Confirmed to be a joke. The shop put it in there just for the pic while they stiffened the Tesla's chassis up some more and did other minor mods. The LS went into a different customer's car.

VW Golf MK I with a V8 from a 928 in it.

Those Germadmen actually widened THE WHOLE FUCKING CAR just to make the engine fit.

Eliminated the dipstick and drain plug.

"Ve vill tell you fenn the oil has gone kauptt, zenn you vill take it to us for replenishment. Zat vey you no longer waste oil. ... Bring viel geld!"

Actually, that Golf is literally a 928 with a Golf bodykit.
It's even registered as Porsche 928

we just want reliable bmws

I just want someone to honda b series swap a corvette just to troll boomer car shows.

>E30 engines
>M20
>M10
>not reliable and long lasting
top meme
An M20 is like a 6 cylinder redblock with better head design, they're strong and long lasting as fuck.

>putting notork in a heavy car for laughs
but that's a waste of money

i wanna do this as well, wondering how much the labor would cost though

would rather rotary swap a C3 or C2

>implying the legendary old inline6 aren't reliable

Just get an S2000

>i wanna do this as well, wondering how much the labor would cost though

You can't be serious.

If you want this, you fucking have to know how to do it AND do it by yourself.

Or pay out of your fucking ass, of course.

pretty average cost as far a swaps go, there's kits made for ls/e39

sikky.com/product/bmw-e39-ls1-mount-kit/

e39's are pretty cheap now because people don't want to pay to maintain them. my mom has a 528i 5spd rotting away in her driveway while she drives an is350, wish I had the cash to do something with it.

not much wrong with the motor/trans but shit plastics/rubber on the motor and cooling system will break long before any japanese/american counterparts and cause other problems. plus maintenance is a bit more demanding. would be cheaper to maintain than swapping an LS obviously but not as fun.

thats actually a really complete kit, what trannies do people use? most ls engines i see online come with a auto.

t56 probably

Labor? HA
Even doing it by yourself costs a fuck ton.
>t. swapping an e39 wagon

It's been done.
