What if they are more subtle? I wanna put a single stack after I turbo my truck, and have it have one of those exhaust flappers. Think like pic related, but only one and it doesn't curve at the end. My truck is the same gen as this too, and diesel

She's pretty sooty right down low until the turbine lights off and I often tow white polycrafts for work. After sooting up a polycraft pretty badly on a drive up and down a range I put the stack on. No more sooty trailer and boat hull. Tiny bit of soot on the tray and cab.

A six or eight inch stack that has been mitre cut.

Now you are aware of what a mitre cut is.

The larger the diameter pipe for a given flow of gas, the lower the velocity of said gas. So the discharge velocity of the clag is low.

This causes clag to slowly exit the large pipe that has been mounted near the headboard in Yankee Utes/trucks to slowly leave the pipe.

Because this slow moving gas that is full of particulates is leaving the pipe at or below cab height, it rolls from the pipe and coats the tray and anything in there with particulates from the clag.

A smaller diameter pipe like four or theee inches may not look as super hick truck hectic but the discharge velocity is high and clag is thrown clear of the vehicle.

Oversize sewage pipes for exhaust pipes are pretty sad.
