Even though stats show otherwise I always thought Aggro Necro vs. Midrange Royal was an about even matchup even before DE. You're always on the defensive early and Rabbit Necromancer is always guaranteed at least 2 damage to the face. If Floral Fencer has to evolve and trade into her it's always a good trade for Necro because Playful Necromancer can use the ghosts to get rid of Floral instead and just get rid of the 2/2 Knight with the main body and stay on board, forcing another evolve or bad trade. Otohime can be stopped by Death's Breath or Foul Tempest. Death's Breath helps charge up Cursed Soldier for reach and it's impossible to get rid of more than one zombie ward per turn, so usually at least one will stay on board almost always and hit face.

Death's breath is a solid 6pp 6/6 mob card. Talking shit about Death's breath is like talking shit to Awildia's Command because there is a ward in it.

Death's Breath with Gabriel is pretty good. It's pretty common in midrange decks now. You'll most likely have enough shadows to activate the ward too because it's arena.

It's not too slow because most of the time you're not going to get a perfect curve and get someone down to 11 health by turn 5 for Cerberus into Phantom Howl.

Midrange is Mordecai with removal. There are other ways to win with Aggro besides Phantom Howl.

At this point playing death's breath your hope is to win on late game tempo or exhaust the other guy's cards.
None of those are aggro's win conditions.

Ever since a0 daily quests have been really, really pissing me off

It's not really a problem when you already have a bunch of 2 drops in your deck. That's like saying Midrange Royal is fucked because half of its deck is 6+ cost. Having 3 6 cost cards and maybe 1 or 2 7 cost ones doesn't hurt you.
