No, it's matchup dependant. The extra range of the clawed normals and the different situational options they allow, like linking off of max range cr.mk, are invaluable in some matchups like Ryu.

You could answer this question wtih 2 seconds in training mode or just playing the game. The answer is no.

Walldive in neutral is a gimmick. It's easily stuffed provided your opponent knows the right button to press. There are some situations, such as after horizontal vtrigger, cc slide, etc, where you have enough time to get a meaty walldive. Attack is usually a better choice than grab because: if it hits on the ground, you can combo afterwards for more damage, and if its in the air, you can combo afterwards or get oki. Grab is more guaranteed damage off the initial hit, so it has its situational advantages, but you don't get anything afterwards.

It's not. -5 at best. Again training mode is your friend. Slide is something you want to make your opponent to be afraid of but actually use as little as possible.
