Anyway, an FD is even lighter and better balanced, faster, and can fit bigger and wider wheels without modification. It also looks a lot better and can fit an adult inside, up to 4 if you push it. It sounds better too and is a total chick magnet.

I'm a fan of the s2000, but even I know it has terrible mpg and road costs. The insurance costs alone are horrible.

I was in the market for a convertible a long time ago and test drove a NC Miata, MR-S, and S2000.

Chose the NC Miata because it was the most comfortable, great mpg, cheap to insure, cheap to mod, cheap to repair.

Again, s2000 is a great car, but it's pricey to own. Can't speak of reliability because I haven't owned one personally.

His S2000 is a Club Racer. They came fitted with these tonneaus and hardtops instead of the power soft top.

S2000 CR. Comes with a factory hardtop, no soft top, chassis bracing, functional aero, shorter shifter throw, quicker steering ratio, stiffer suspension, etc

Honda made 699 of them, sold in 2008 and 2009

I think the abundance of NBs on the market and lack of NAs is evidence enough that people prefer the NAs which are becoming increasingly harder to find in good shape/without rust.

The NA is the epitome of a classic Miata. In my opinion, if it doesn't have the pop up lights, it's not a miata.

And an ND miata is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever seen. No one spends $30,000 on a "modern miata". You're just trying to make it something it never was. You buy a 350Z or a Porsche or some other roadster at that point.
