Satelicious Edition Previous jej: The thread is dedicated to all games about building machines and systems out of blocks, in space or otherwise. Also, all these games are ded. Only ded games may join, otherwise they must have their own thread.

I'm not sure what you're getting at user, I'm not sure about power per block but the power per bounding box was 1.14 which I'm pretty sure is really bad.
Nathaniel Gomez
don't ded again
Ethan Price
I really wish there was an afterlife just so I could watch the universe as time goes on. Just ceasing to exist altogether is really depressing. There's so much for us to see and do and we'll never experience even a paltry amount of it and it all seems so pointless. We should focus all our efforts on preserving our consciousness so we can figure out a way to bring Clang to the whole universe and be able to watch it in all its glory.
Brandon Moore

Ian Barnes
if the holograph universe theory is correct wouldn't that mean we just turn into data when we die?
Dominic Butler
>implying we aren't just data already matter=energy muthafucka
Sebastian Rodriguez
we're all incredible math
Henry Davis
But what about our consciousness. Who we are. What we feel, think, see and all that. When we die it turns into nothing it all ends and the universe just keeps on going without us to see any of it. That's why I fear death anyways, not because of the nothingness but because of everything I'll miss.
Hudson Green
When you die, you become a ghost and you have to watch a physician play robocraft.
Christopher Ross
if we're all just bits of data then i'm sure all that stuff is data too that gets stored in the great hard drive that is the universe along with all the anime you've downloaded and all the games in your backlog
Colton Butler
Truly a fate worse than death.
Leo Diaz
You're not going to miss anything.
Ryan Jackson
I looked at the design and saw these huge chunks of exhaust and figured that your ppb was terrible, then I looked at your ppf and realized why you did what you did
Luis Rivera
imagine having to watch robocraft devs from beyond the grave
>monkey screeching noises every time someone presses a key >dried feces and urine stains everywhere >italians in every corner
John Morgan
And that's just the beginning. If you've been particularly bad, you get to see how keencode is made, patch after patch, forever.
Carson Edwards
Tell me what you're afraid to miss and i'll tell you how it won't happen at all and you'll feel better.
Kayden Carter
A good engineerin game

someone explain this meme to me, i've been here for a year or so and i still don't get it
Jace Lee
Theres a link to a forum and a password to get into the members only area embedded in the image.
We shitpost on Veeky Forums, but talk about actual /egg/ games and engineering things there. If you cant figure out how to find the web address and password, you arent /egg/ enough to go there.
Hudson Anderson
Never going to be a big enough player base to support the necessary capital costs.
Isaiah Cox
It is our most obscure meme. Explaining it would be doing it a disservice.
Matthew Nguyen
nice meme fuck you for trying to waste my time
Zachary Morris
You aren't autist enough to get it so get out of here, this isn't a place for you.
Bentley Williams
>Not autistic enough to understand grilled cheese. Don't post near me or my /egg/ ever again.
Luis Jackson
Reminder to play Machinecraft - the best /egg/ - or you'll be gassed.
Why the fuck do you think it's a regular occurrence? (Yes, the Chinese did it in 2007 and the US in 2008) Shooting anything in space could be considered a military act, which in itself carries political consequences (see: militarization of space). Of course, firing anything into orbit isn't cheap either, so whoever is funding the "cleanup" is probably not too keen on the idea either. Finally, you just end up with more debris than you started with - although the objects will be far smaller, and thus less likely to pose a threat to life on Earth. In short, you need a really good reason to shoot at anything in space.
In practice, satellites prematurely end their service life by simply shutting off, boosting away from our planet or by going into a graveyard orbit. Movies are not a useful source of information. Fucking retards, I swear.
Recording REMcast right now my dudes. Ask us stuff and it will be answered.
Jason Anderson
Throw a link m8?
Landon Price
Kinda meant on the post. Would you prefer a stream?
Grayson Nguyen
REM pls save us
Jack Watson
what kind of data do you identify as?
are you hype for ace combat 7 and notpixy?
how would you design a seek and destroy game mode where you play against other people in a pitch black map with flashlights to guide/reveal you?
Bentley Martin
Nah, it's two in the morning here and I probably wont be hanging around to ask a bunch of questions, and (sorry) I haven't been paying too much attention to REM as of late. How's development been going as a whole, and what's up with the structure in pic related?
Dylan Brown
REEEEEEEM
WHEN WILL YOU GAS US
Cooper Howard
which is worse? furries or communism?
when you eventually find out you need waifubait characters to sell a game these days, how will you design rem-chan and what kind of sfm porn do you anticipate there being?
Brody Garcia
>Implying REMships aren't cute enough to be waifus already.
Benjamin Scott
doesn't cover enough bases imo
needs things like glasses or an unlikable personality
Kayden Roberts
Thank you for the questions, it REMcast posted soon
Jeremiah Thomas
fuck i always miss these question times. can't you guys post, let some replies flow in over 24 hr, and then start reccording the remcast?
BRAISE SUN
Andrew Garcia
So who here hype for the new Aquanox? I know it's not technically or really at all and /egg/ game, but you can swap out ship parts and I figured a lot of people here would like it because it's effectively a dogfighter but underwater.
Thoughts? Opinions? I'm heading to bed but am interested to see what you all think and will take a look in the morning.

Isn't belt a bit brittle? Why not use a shaft instead? Same goes for the water cannons, except it's two shafts with a gear inbetween.
Elijah Jenkins
that's a big gun
Kevin Rivera
So I've been trying to produce a laser weapon and it hasn't been particularly impressive so far. Initial strikes from the beam are OK but damage seems to drop off rapidly. Anyone have tips for producing a worthwhile laser or designs that have worked well for you consistently? Can you use a constant beam or do pulsed lasers completely outclass them. Send help.
Josiah Perez
pulsed are better, and yes, damage drops off rapidly. How to fix it? Dunno, but i'd say to add more chargers
Jayden Powell
Are you high, i just checked the game's website and all it says is the word "combat" and "trained fighter pilots" over and over again
speaking of aqua though, have you guys played subnautica recently tried it to see if the devs made any progress in the past year, and somehow it went from "underwater exploration/survival game" to "lone mad scientist research base building simulator"
full-on /egg/ now you can spend fuck knows how long trying to fit structures perfectly to the terrain, decorating all the rooms in detail, taking your sub all the way to your island base and back since you accidentally left clicked the last goddamn chinese potato that was supposed to be the staple crop of your new 32-grow-bed hydroponic plantation, etc
Samuel Brooks
For you
Brody Kelly
user, subnaughtica is a fun enough game, but rustlikes are not/egg/. eggpyrion only is because of /svgg/
Isaac Rivera
The devs are amazingly incompetent, I wouldn't trust them with a physics engine.
Jeremiah Martin
>Subnautica goes full /egg/ with physics engine >Game becomes a vessel of CLANG the likes of which the universe has never seen before >Devs become Keen 2.0 >The next 4 years are spent on the impossible task of trying to un-fuck the physics enough that rotors and pistons don't rip a hole in the universe itself
Brody Howard
Man you don't even know. By virtue of moving around, you hit massive lag spikes the more you change the voxels of the world, due to the way they're stored.
I'd swear they'd find a way to make it so every physics delta time tick would cause another gigabyte of ram to be used.
Wyatt Bailey
>spend all day yesterday watching bee movie/#1 youtube cancer
yeah, in the next update they're deleting the terraforming system entirely
iirc it's because they still can't manage to get the game to run properly on the xbox and they figure it'll give them some breathing room
honestly though i'd wonder what the fuck their strategy is though. they've spent most of the last year adding a mountain of content for autismfort-building nerds, and now they're trying to satisfy xbox players? what's the target demographic there? hell, what's the plan in general?
Michael Ward
>we are number one but every one is the nutshack theme but every shack is grandma's gonna sue the pants off of Santa but every Santa is the mine song but every mine is the bee movie trailer but every bee is its a piece of cake to bake a cake but every book and cake is we are number one.exe

That would make too much sense. The gap between us deciding to record an episode and doing it is like 5 mins.
If you want, you could ask me something now and I could give you an awnser. Or I could hold onto it until next time.
Camden Reed
what happened to the social "matchmaking/lobby" part of the game? is that still planned?
once land combat is in, are you going to have other defensive options than armoring up, for example CIWS, net armor, reactive armor, smoke screens and all that jazz?
to what extent will we be able to customize the cockpit? will there be different sizes with different properties?
and on that note, what items will have different manufacturers with different stats?
Lucas Gutierrez
>REM will never have ranked matchmaking and clan wars with a meta game involving developing infrastructure to manufacture items and consumables like custom cannons, ammunition, power plants and chassis >you'll never have to draw from this pool of materiel and hardware for clan wars fights >you will never get sacked from your platoon lead role for losing the battle for the sector with the medium tank hull factory and coaxial MG ammo plant
Jose Morris
So REManon, which voice are you?

>tfw no ftd type game for /k/ommandos that uses voxel to build guns from blocks that had real physics and then let's you arm an ai army with the guns and lead them to victory in a multiplayer game where you fight other ai armies with the gun designed by the other guy.
Christopher Watson
>the whole customization aspect is discarded the second someone makes a Bad Dragon™ Dragon Dildo™ launcher and the only thing that differ from the various armies is the color of the dildo
Eli Long
At some point someone will build a belt fed dragon dildo launcher and is able to mow down an entire brigade of robot furry's armed with martini-Henry's chambered for dragon dildos. Then begins trench warfare. Also >implying dragon dildo collecting aren't a hobby of every /k/ommando
Ethan Roberts
To me every $ spent on furshit is one less $ spent on dakka. Though i'm a freak that enjoys hand holding and consensual hetero sex in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation so make what (You) want of it.

SU-47/10
Ayden Bennett
It would be a Su-47 if I had put canards in the nose, but I ditched the idea. Originally it was going to have a single elevator concealed inside/under the nose fuselage so the only bits sticking out of it would be the two main wings, but the space in there is too tight
I might try to do it and get rid of the ugly tail elevators
Brandon Green
>get rid of... Better if you find a way to move them in more than 1 axis, and also use them as rudders
Henry Hall
Open deck or ironclad style for my From the depths cruiser?
Josiah Perez
>entering the clangth dimension
Caleb Martinez
I could try that too, I've toyed with the idea on several of my planes but I don't really have much use for a rudder so I end up not doing it. I had to give this one a rudder because its rollrate is atrocious
The YF-23 is one of those planes that look cool as fuck from certain angles but absolutely disgusting and retarded from others
William James
Ironclad all the way
