I almost spring on a deal for a mint white AW11, but it got sketchy when the title was clean but had an engine swap "from his other crashed MR2".

They don't take to mods for shit. Engine is weak. Miata is better. And I love the MR-S.

Unfortunately AW11s are just too old to not be project cars, most have 150-250+k miles on them, and usually have some major mechanical failure.

Both are fun cars, both have great handling, both can be modified to be as fast as you want and your wallet can afford, you can't go wrong with either.

They exist, but they are just cheap knock-offs of oem hardtops, because they come with no paint or glass and tend to have a poor fit, they are hardly worth the few hundred dollars saved.

The 2zz requires less fab and could retain creature comforts like air conditioning.

ZZW30 is the chassis and engine code in the later gen of the Toyota MR-2/MR-S.

ZZ is the engine code, W30/20/11 etc. are the chassis codes.

No, I use 5W20 oil. Never even seen ZZW30 on the shelf.
