Winter beaters

What's your beater car for winter ?

It's the $500 dodge for me by the way

mine

This turd

Subaru Outback 3.6R

I lived.

I love the Outback but I'll probably be picking up a new Legacy 3.6R

Something about the look of it is just oh so sexi

My sister has a Legacy. She loves it. I wish they made a Legacy wagon, but I needed to be able to haul stuff so an Outback it was. I normally hate crossovers.

Why do you guys buy cars just for winter? I've only met one guy who did that and he was a biker and had no other cars?

Its mainly for the salt that they put on the roads and salt will just destroy your car.

It could also be for when some bozo forgets that snow=poor traction and rear-ends your car.

With some pos winter beater it doesn't matter what happens to it

Is it a winter beater if you beat on it all the seasons?

...

P L A S T I C

2000 volvo xc70.

I did some cyclones today in the snow, definetly a good winter car.

yaris

It's for sale, but it'll do me real good if no one buys it.

God dammit, I love Saturns. Especially clean ones like that.

Maybe it's because my first car was a 99 SL.

The same shit I drive every other season of the year

Not as clean as it looks, but I do love it. Good in the snow and great empeegees

Is salt still corrosive if it's cold as fuck outside? If you just properly wash the car after winter, wouldn't that minimize rust?

No, its always corrosive. The thin layer of dried out salt activates with moisture, of which there is always in the air

You'll need to clean it many times during winter, perhaps several times per week. A good proofing of the underbody does wonders too

This comfy $1600 motha right here

>cars get hot
>heat melts ice
>melted ice is water

>viewmaster drain

The Blizzaks make all the difference.

>CT-70 pinup

>Needing a winter car

It's still corrosive, but not as much as if it was warmer. If you really want to see rust, let it get salty and then park it in a warm garage without washing it.

>tfw no road salt
>tfw it snows like twice a year
>tfw every household has at least one 4wd
god bless you texas

is that in Denver? I swear ive been there before.

2001 acura mdx, I live in eastern washington so there is a fuck ton of snow or none at all, it has 200000 miles and shows no signs of slowing down

Shits cash

>twice a year
Man, i wish we got that much snow

Uh they did make a legacy wagon.. us market just didn't get them :)

...

What the hell is that white thing leading into the hood of the dodge ram?
Is that a pole leading into the house? What's that drain thing.

Am I just too high for my own good?

No dude we got them in a number of gens

Let the rust flow through you!

Winter beater, user. Not your DD :^)

It's a downspout from the gutters, albeit a really long one.

Direct gutter injection

We got a few gens of legacy wagons and the outbacks share the majority of the legacy platform save for some styling and suspension components

Just high bud, it's the drain for the gutter from the house

the one in the back is my beater
the one on the front is my BABY

Yeah. That's the carwash off i25 and arapaho

GOAT.
I miss mine, except the atrocious seats.
The only car that gave me intense back pain.

RWD is fun

[CAN'T WAKE UP]

Keep it clean or this will be you

Jesus fucking christ you live close to me.

Wan sum fuck?
Give me a major intersection where you live

And apparently you're at least semi old, I haven't updated my tripfag list in years.
What HS did you go to?

my first was a 99 sl1, such a cozy car. used to pop the cup holders up to hide my weed lol

I just bought a Legacy Wagon in the states, lol

>Twice a year
Come down to Houston Mang. Here, were lucky to see snow once every other year

Been off Veeky Forums for awhile, is the benz RIP?

Me

Nah. That picture is my friends C200

Sold my Benz in July, and its currently prowling the streets of Bergen, southwestern part of Norway
