Tali is tall as hell by quarian standards (quarian males average 5'5 or so according to Ascension, females probably 2-3 inches shorter) which makes her uncomfortable/annoyed. Shepard on the other hand really likes it, and assures her of that fact.

I read them and I quite like them. You're way better than I was when I started writefagging. I don't feel like I've much else to say except well-done. Though I'd suggest putting the fics in a screencap, most writefags do it here. Makes it easier to repost since you don't have to wait for post timers and splitting text into many posts. But you're free to do as you please of course. Both ways have merits.

The batarian in front of him seemed less willing to make friends with violence. He held his knife sloppily, letting it dangle. As though he wasn't sure if the fight had really started.
He was sure though. His feet trampling anxiously in the dust. He felt cold, cold and warm at the same time as his suit pumped stims into his veins. He didn't even notice the pressure from the IV, his mind totally focused on the poor hapless fool in front of him. Fools were the most dangerous sort, unpredictable and easy to underestimate.
Suddenly. the fool lunged at him. There was no finesse, no technique. Just a snarl and a rush.
The quarian just barely managed to dodge. Damn, he was getting sloppy. Always keep your distance. Always Always.
The fool missed. A shiver went through the quarians spine. A slight nick would put him out of commission. Hell if his (sort of) stab proof suit protected him, Aria's thugs would gun him down to make it fair.
The Batarian waved his blade, whipping it from side to side. It was a maneuver that looked intimidating, like it was impossible to stab without also being hurt.
The quarian knew better. He'd seen this many times. They always forget everything below the crotch.
He ducked down and jabbed his blade into the shin of the batarian. Who screamed and kicked him in the side before collapsing into a heap.
The two wrestled, fighting for survival. But the quarian ended up on top, and buried his blade into the Batarians chest before he could be stopped.

Why do people say me3 vanguard is really fun? I'm getting pretty bored playing it and I've only just finished Mars, it's so simple and easy. My pistol only infiltrator run gave me a bunch of options for combat but vanguard just boilds down to using two powers back to back. The non stop ARGGG is getting annoying too. Am I doing something wrong or have I been memed?

I don't like ME3 vanguard as much as in 2, either. I think not taking Nova makes it a bit better.

It's more fun on higher difficulties, where the high risk, high reward aspect comes to play a bit better

Guide to fun ME3 vanguard. Take inferno nades as a bonus power and fully rank incendiary rounds, when the enemy is burning and weak use charge while screaming "PURGE EVERYTHING" to set off the nuke. But really, just don't spam nova, take a nice hard hitting pistol and a fun AR/SMG and set up fire bombs while doing some normal cover based shooting then charge in when you want a big burst of intense action. It's great fun you just need to think beyond the charge+nova+charge+nova mind set, by all means use the combo, just try and save it for your big finisher.

The MGR sound track also adds to the fun.

I really do hate how curing the genophage is treated in 3, EVERYTHING in the lore tells you it's a mistake but the writters are so set on it that all characters are happy to go along with it. On top of that you have to kill two great squad mates if you decide not to cure it and lose war assets.

It's actually a running issue I have with ME3: a lot of the choices that they present as cut-and-dry are a lot more nuanced, and vice versa. Because curing the genophage isn't the right answer, but neither is just keeping it the way it is. A better answer would be a lot more complex, like gene therapy to reduce the number of children in a clutch to a couple instead of a thousand
