I haven't played in a while and just recently picked it up again. I remember reading at some point that they implemented some kind of 60 minute period of leniency on dropped items from death because of server instability/ddos or something. Is that still in place, and if so how does it work?

that was practically implemented when the game came out, it works just how it says, if you die you have an hour to go pick up your stuff
