I'm sorry, I really want to appreciate it, but I can't get over the idea of having such a tiny engine.

But it has a turbo.
Mazda has a 2 litre anyway, so you can buy that instead.

I've already owned five 4 cylinder cars, and one of them was already a super high-strung turbo. I'm bored of these, I want displacement in my next car.

The engine is one of the only things on the car that's actually made by fiat. If they were going to leave a mazda unit in it, they may as well just sell a fiat bodykit for the mazda instead.
