That's silly.

Americans spend more time on the highway than anyone else in the world, especially compared to europeans who live in clusters in cities.

highways are more dangerous than city driving

It's simply because American cars cant turn.

Please also post the yearly miles driven per 100k inhabitants.

Drivers test is designed so the average american can actually pass it as car is a basic freedom, so the overall aptitude of drivers is lower.

It's called weighted.

When there's more people on the road there's more likely to be an accident.

Simply doing per capita or by miles traveled means nothing. Maybe if you weighted it against population or traffic density it would mean something. But as it stands it's meaningless data.
