As long as you understand its just a two door Camry and don't do stupid shit, like put a GoPro mount on the hood.

If the tC was worth buying, do you think scion would've been sent to pasture?

>Is the Scion tC worth buying
No.
There are many other better choices. Especially if you're thinking about modding it in any way.

Why do I see so many tc2's with go pro mounts? its annoying

>As long as you understand its just a two door Camry

Are you trying to be sarcastic? Because that's literally why I am considering it.

Also,
>two door Camry

Try three door, faggot.

I use it strictly as a DD

No, """""""normal car consumers"""""""" think its a super fast tuner you can drift in.

Sorry, I forgot it's considered a 3 door. Crucify me as you wish.

>No, """""""normal car consumers"""""""" think its a super fast tuner you can drift in.
No we don't. Thank god you never leave your basement.

>Scion tC

>3100 lbs
>3100 LBS!!!!

>700 LBS HEAVIER THAN A EARLY 90'S COROLLA AND SLOWER!

Yeah and it's not a death trap like your flimsy 90s shitbox

Civic Si would be a similar but better alternative.
You probably can't drive stick though, otherwise you wouldn't consider a tc to begin with.

I drive a manual tC.
Still faster than fuccboi Si's at the redlight and mine is full on leather trim.

tC is also much more spacious. I could rent out the trunk as an apartment if i needed to.

tC stands for track Camry

lol I'm not a tC hater by any means but the Si is faster and that's indisputable. It is lighter, more power and has VTEC yo.

This is the problem with tCs, the owners actually believe they drive something fast.

Id rather own a tC since it's comfier and more spacious, but you will get btfo by an Si

>bought a tc to race civics

>the owners actually believe they drive something fast.
Never said it was fast lmao.
This is the problem with Veeky Forums, they keep seeing words that aren't there.

>but you will get btfo by an Si
Two years and it still ain't happened desu.

>driving slow on the interstate

Lol you're delusional. Si is faster/better than your tC in literally every way.
>lighter
>more hp/tq
>better breaks
>better suspension
>better chassis
>vtec yo
>short geared transmission

>1 star safety difference

You can't make this shit up. People will buy a pigfat 3 door camry over a lightweight short wheelbase more reliable and cheaper to own/maintain Corolla.

Hope it at least helps you get laid. Sounds like you might need the extra help.

>>short geared transmission
oh so it tops out at 80mph?
No wonder my tC is faster kek.

You can't be retarded enough to believe the benchmark for those tests have remained the same over 25 years, can you?

God, Veeky Forums poorfags are truly the worst

>he doesn't replace his seatbelts or airbags
>being this much of a safety cuck

Might as well just buy the cuckmobile you were destined for op, or just get the cuck junior Camry

>hating on poorfags
>having his parents buy him a scion

diagnosis: kys

>intercooler
wtf

>Seatbelts and airbags

How about structural rigidity and crumple zones, dumbfuck?

But keep resorting to unrelated personal attacks since you cant debate properly

Sounds like you got a hard-on for Corollas

Who's the cuck now

>buys a Toyota that's 10 times the cost of another with less performance and convenience

>he thinks frames and cumple zones are damaged on cars that have never been in an accident

the cuck is strong with this one
If you're gonna buy a FWD Toyota, might as well buy a better one

Why shouldn't I get an 10' TC for my first car

because post-facelift has a better engine

the facelift also looks a lot better

because Civic, CRX, Corolla

basically any other car that weighs less and is cheaper

How about you name a few better options, asshole.

Forgot to mention the 6k budget

You do realize a tC costs more to insure than a Corolla

right?

Always need to get the last word in, eh cuck?

You aren't convincing anyone here that a 90s Corolla is a better car. Just letting you know that.

Pretty much this. Probably the same faggot defending a Corolla itt

>he'll defend this

Why are you ok with paying more for less?
Safety?
Are you a single mother by chance or just a shitty driver?

Corollas are quality

Dude a 1990s Si is still light-years faster then your rebadged dogshit camry...

nope. its a toyota corrolla with 2 doors missing. its like having sports version of a toyota camry. fucken pointless

post car

lel scion cuck fags

Will they ever recover?

Hint: They won't

Si is better in everyway. Potential on k24's are pretty good.
Better looking too.

>its a toyota corrolla with 2 doors missing
>a bad thing

>its like having sports version of a toyota camry
>a bad thing

Veeky Forumstists, everyone

>owns a tc
>always btfo by civics
>comes to lie on Veeky Forums
I am LMAOing at ur life

>owns a civic

Nope.
Tc's are hilarious though. Try to race anything and then turn off because it's only tailights after 3 seconds

>owns a civic

Question but how are the 1st gen Xb?

Id use it for a commuter car and nap in the back, plus store some tools in it

K24's aftermarket is amazing..

epic honda meemsters aside trying to unironically benchrace daily driver economy cars, its a great reliable daily driver with a little bit of a kick.

it's not as good as a civic si (doesn't handle as well, isn't as quick), but its also way way cheaper and more common than a equivalent year civic si.

Drivetrain is though as old boots; but the rest of the car will fall apart around you.
Also about exciting as a glass of milk.

>its a great reliable daily driver

It gets less mpg than a Civic, has lower reliability scores/more expensive parts, and is slower.

>he will still defend this

You forgot to mention that insurance rates on TCs are ridiculously high for what it is.

Never heard any bad things about the cars themselves except that you can get better for the same price. Some of their drivers are the toyota equivalent of honda civic fuccbois

I'd rather get a Kia Forte Koup. Scion is just awful, they've been killed off for a reason.

C R X

Not really. Insurance premiums will rape you dead. Consider also a Civic Si, WRX, or Fiesta/Focus ST.

My friend owns a TC. He regrets it now. It is a comfy ride, but it's nothing but a 2 door Camry in the end. Sure, you can get it up to 100mph, but it's not a car you're gonna race anyone in. I think they only come in automatic too.. so that's an automatic deal breaker for me

Sure

>Its cheaper and newer with less mileage
>Its easier to find in good shape because they're more common

That's all I had to do, see?

A Si is far more theft prone and often owned by teenage boy racers totaling them out, so I doubt it.

>I think they only come in automatic too.. so that's an automatic deal breaker for me
Then how do i have one with a 6 speed?

Just get a 2dr Accord.

Except you're wrong. Do a little research, try googling "most expensive cars to insure". Not only are TCs more expensive due to insure, they are also one of the cars most likely to be pulled over. For the exact reason you mentioned, teenage boy racers but them and then crash them..

They come in a manual, it's still shit though. Long throw shifter with long boring gears.

>Long throw
guess again

I don't need to guess, I've driven one. It certainly isn't a short throw..

it's certainly not long.

I can show you long throw if you need a reference.

Longer than the Si.

Long for her pleasure

>sporty
it's a corolla bud

Normies will think it's sporty because of the looks

I have a friend who is 20, and works as an apprentice mechanic. After having a bad experience trying and failing to keep some e36 i3 on the road, he wanted something "reliable" and "quick" and got himself an automatic TC. Automatic because he has to commute, of course. He now gets shit on at every job he works at and every meet we go to.

This is the kicker. He always talks about how fast it is, and yet he has the slowest car in our group of friends (2000 mustang gt 5-speed, 2001 Prelude 5-speed, 2015 Civic Si, and an e46 335i.) and yet still paid the most by at least 4-500%.

>2 doors = sports
What the fuck am I reading? Is this a performance vehicle because it's the short cab with two doors?

For anyone interested we go to drag weekends and this is the actual speed ranking. Not going to say which is mine so I can't be accused of being biased.

2000 Mustang GT 5-speed
e46 330i* 5-speed
Prelude 5-speed
2015 Civic Si automatic
Scion TC automatic
*sorry for typos

Basically, the TC is slow and gets shit on by a bunch of shitboxes.

Just get a Yaris. It's better in almost every way.

t.Yaris owner

>2015 Civic Si automatic
Nigga you just went full retard.

None of those sticks are shitboxes!

I drive a real shitbox 04 Saturn ion redline

Nothing wrong with a tC if you acknowledge it's just a sportier daily driver. I drove a tC2, they're not fast at all, but I wouldn't call it slow. It gets out of its own way just fine.

This car is actually pretty fuckin awesome. Would drive.

but it's not tho, that's the thing

it's just a daily driver, nothing sporty at all

I did, my mistake. It is a 5-speed.
Hey, it's faster than a TC at least. Besides, no visable rust!

You don't understand dude he put tien coilovers on it!

>5-speed
Just stop here please.

Yup, I need to go to bed.

sorry.

Its only good if you want to beat Lamborghinis on the race tracks.

This, walked on a Viper w/mine.

It had an independent rear suspension.

Look I'm calling it sporty from a normie perspective. Nothing on Veeky Forums is sporty unless it's featured in a FnF movie or weighs 2300 lbs

>comfy
>sporty
>scion TC

kek

>bongmobile
>ever being used in a situation where performance matters or is even evident
lol

tC only gets a bad rep because of the dipshit kids that rice them

Nothing wrong with the car itself.

>"""""""normal car consumers"""""""" think its a super fast tuner you can drift in.

Normal car conumer here. I can confirm that this statement is false.

I got one in high school because it was the only car I could fit an air mattress in ;)

Which one guys? Just for commute.
kbb.com/cars-for-sale/436534390 (2010 TC)

kbb.com/cars-for-sale/445294818/ (2011 Jetta)

kbb.com/cars-for-sale/441582126 (2006 328xi)

kbb.com/cars-for-sale/444654858 (2008 328xi)

Everyone I know that has been considering a tc has been cross shopping a Jetta. Why is this?

Both cars appeal to tryhard shitters with DC flat brims

BMW it is then

(You) know sporty from a normie perspective is meaningless

While I do disagree with the hive mind of Veeky Forums often, sporty still needs to mean something. If it is slightly better handling or engine oomph, it has to be something. Scions aren't sporty because they aren't diffrent from normal. I would call a mustang or civic sporty (for diffrent reasons) and neither have irs.

SCIRON TC

Camry 5.8s 0-60
TC 7.4s 0-60

The TC wishes it was a Camry with 2 doors, then it might be worth getting.

Japanese quality is really at a low point. I don't think I've seen more then a handful of tC that weren't missing the hatch light cover. I had this pass me the other day

Yea. It ain't. Scion tC's have never been faster than Si's. Even tC owners know this.
