That's what made me quit "Eternal" after a week of playing. "I need a power card! Oh well I guess I can't play anything this turn." or the inverse "I need something to play! Oh gee another power card." and then you have matches where you feel bad for your opponent because they got screwed by one of those things and your "win" feels cheap as fuck. Or it happens to you. Doesn't help that the mulligan is a all redraw or nothing.

EDH is fun for the same reasons cube is. You can be as degenerate as much as you want. Personally I refuse to play any cube that isn't a powered cube.
