Diesel Punto
For real though, because I like my hot hatches small and fun, maybe an R53 works GP, or a Clio 182 Trophy if you really need rear seats
Mazda said they aren't planning to make one because it's childish
>doesn't exist
>lying on the internet
Son
these are not hot hatches
hot hatches have 3 doors, not 5.
>poorly built
>RS
pick one, and only one
Hot hatch (shortened from hot hatchback) is a high-performance derivative of a car body style consisting of a three- or five-door hatchback automobile. The performance upgrades of a hot hatch are sometimes available for the estate variant of the car, often called sportwagons.

ye, officially.
but nobody really considers 5 door cars hot hatches.
hot hatches are meant to be small.
by nobody, do you mean just you?
>hot hatch
>posts a fucking clio
Wow good job posting a shit example of a "hot" hatch.
>the 3 door fiesta is smaller then the 5 door
nobody considers a 3-door a hot hatch

Yup found the ford fans
fake news
found the mazda fanboi
I didn't know about this hatch, we don't get many reno's in AU unfortunately. Gave me an insta-semi
senpai
clio's are the best, performance wise, of the reasonably priced hot hatches, even better than the golfs.
though they guzzle fuel something awful (my clio 197 would average 20mpg, and go as low as 10mpg when pushed), and the interior and ride are both spartan.
but ye, their performance to price ratio is unreal.
you can get a low mileage clio 200 for under £5k here in the uk, and they come with brembos, recaros and a fucking sick chassis as standard.

drove one of these today, damn fun

32 years old and still the unmatched king.
I agree though, GTI's are fun.
Do not-that-hot hatches with a very hot engine swap count? This one's one of my favorite Twingo builds ever (besides that obvious crazy V8 one)
That's a Clio 172 engine, by the way.
you know they do a sport version of the twingo, right?
the twingo 133
it's a pretty nice little car.
YOUR BASE IS UNDER ATTACK
I know the RS exists, but they never made an RS version of the 1st gen. The most it ever got from the factory was a 75hp 1.2l 16V engine.
I like the RS for being one of the last NA hot hatches, like the Swift Sport.
>After a few laps, something started whining in the back of the car as I slid through the apexes. A few corners later the sound was gone . . . along with my all-wheel drive. The rear differential had suddenly just stopped working. The car was much better in front-wheel drive than I expected, but there was a lot of wheel spin exiting the corners while aggressively putting power down.
The rear drive unit has overheated and went out on several
isn't the twingo a 65/35 weight ratio?
That's gonna help...
>200hp
>Cup Chassis
YEah mate, real shit
Probably the best FF car in the 00's for tuneability and handling. While the Fiesta ST and Civic Si's use torsion beams, these are completely independent. 3100 Lbs sounds too heavy, but they handle very well for the weight they carry, and the aftermarket is huge. Also, a geared LSD in the front helps a lot with understeer, wheel spin, and torque steer.
Mazda did well with the speed3, wish they could release an AWD one sometime. Something like the MS6, where the haldex in it even split torque 50/50 under acceleration.
i like my gf's mini cooper s
>Probably the best FF car in the 00's for tuneability and handling
maybe in the american market, sure.
there are much better options available in EU.
this
as a fiat driver it puzzles me how other manufacturers charge about 50% more for their hot hatch compared to the base model
even the cheapest 1.3l diesel punto is a hot hatch as standard
I cross shopped this and a supercharged mini cooper s for a 2nd car. I ended up buying the mini.

those are coupes, senpai.
postan my mild hatch
It looks angry
been looking at these. budget is 6k USD or under, been seeing a few from 2010-2013 in my range with like 70k miles on them. are these complete shit?
Definitely not a hot or warm hatch, but elantras are your average commuter car. Comfy, economical, but handles like shit with no power to boot.
Would a Toyota Celica count as a hot hatch?
dipshit
>diesel fiat
Mjet pls
>tfw no hot Volvos in your area
while not exactly something that fits in with the twingo, swift and focus, does the corolla TS/Runx/TSport (three names for one and the same car) cout as well?
>talking shit, the post

the Diesel Punto was the first Diesel car to win rallye

I own a 2004... I love it... I used to own an SN95 mustang... It had more torque but man, my GTI is just way more fun to drive.

While that may be true it doesn't make it hot in any sense of the word
it's pretty hot for a diesel
show me a better diesel hot hatch
go ahead, I'll wait.
>he doesn't know about the Golf GTD and its Seat/Octavia brethren
Seat/Skoda brethren*
But slow cars cannot be hot hatches
Therefore there are no diesel hot hatches.
So... why are you just making shit up?
lol, fiestas are fucking golf carts.

yaris hot hatch?
I said a better diesel hot hatch
>top speed is everything
hurr durr muh oval racing
200bhp and a "cup" chassis doesn't make up for the fact the Clio is a terrible car all round.
Would be class if it happened.
there already is a yaris hot hatch
yaris t sport or something
it's shit.
Yeah, IMO it does. In South Africa we had the RunX RSI, 1.8l 2ZZ-GE. It's basically the same class as the EP3 type R but more sleeper like. I always wanted one but the chassis just isn't that great and not worth putting money into.
No Subaru love?
Thanks to VW's dieselgate I just bought my dad's 08 STI hatchback. It's a hell of a lot of fun
OP is
is it fuck
In it's time this was pretty hot. Yes it's shit spec, but still puts out pretty well. 100kw from factory, doesn't weigh much more than 850kg.
how does BTEK work?
put android auto on my FiST yesterday
shit's pretty cash
>I said a better diesel hot hatch
And he gave you a good, valid answer.
>implying the RS cosworth ever had any competition
who /warmhatch/ here
Did you get it in the 2.0L Petrol?
yeah, twincam
>Hatchback
>HATCH
It's not called a 2-side-door-rear-door-hatchback user.
erm I have a rotting shitbox 1.2 corsa on my drive that get's to 60 faster than that and the things fucking shite.
Damn this car was fucking godlike
