Can someone please explain to me why Tempo and Aggro Elf is ranked first and on the chart says it has no bad matchups? I'm only an AA2 shitter, so maybe it's a Masters thing, but every single fucking time I try playing it, my board gets annihilated before I can set up for Cynthia or Windgod, or I draw a hand full of Cynthias and Windgods and just get bricked. Meanwhile PTP elf seems to have superior removal and management. I spend my opening turns fighting for board control, which I almost never get because all my followers have toughness of 1 or 2. If I go for face, I get out traded. Am I doing something wrong here?

If you are going by gamepress, I stopped looking at their rankings a long time ago because I strongly believe ptp is the stronger deck at higher play.

Gabriel or Erasmus is better but Satan is okay since you are dragging the game that long anyway.

classes that can clear already fuck over mid sword plenty right now and they're giving most classes more and easier access to it

I believe mid-sword is gonna suffer a transformation into something way more aggro thanks to cards like Albert and how everyone have board clears, now, I don't believe Otohime is dead, she's a good card indeed, but the Otohime+Sage combo will be almost unusable so I'm cutting them both to maybe 1 of each.

If you're running 1-of something you might as well not bother running it.

I try holding off playing creatures until I've got a Cynthia or Windgod ready and by that time I've taken too much damage, and then they all die to AOE or removal.

Another thing that I keenly feel is drawing power. I often find myself with an empty hand.

Amelia is going to be in my deck for sure, it's an actual 4 drop that doesn't need an evo point, I'm thinking about Monika (5pp that deals damage equal to followers in play on evo), but I think she's going to be more of a control thing. I'm on the fence about Samurai, seems real valuable versus Forest and Sword mirrors but not better than Veteran Lancer otherwise. I don't think I will be running Blitz Lancer. Feena seems like a pretty fucking good five drop, though,

ptp seems a lot more consistent because it makes its own draws with fairy gens into altered fate
that's probably why AA is full of ptp elves and hardly anybody is playing tempo or aggro

I'm not really all that keen on Feena, I already don't touch Avant Blader because I don't have time to fetch stuff with any kind of point investment higher than maid.

It makes me wonder then why it's still so high up in the rankings. They update that tier list pretty often. But yeah bad draws are pretty often a game loser for me. I'll get Tia, Windgod or Cynthia in my opening hand pretty often. I'm just confused as to why this deck is so highly regarded and why I can't pilot it. I've played over 100 games with it in AA1 and AA2 and I've lost far more than I've won.

Feena is a 5/6+a 2/2 on evo+ a fetch.

Feena has better stats though, other than that she doesn't clog your maid pulls. I think she looks way better than Avant on mid-range at least.

Not this expansion, you get an 8pp slot machine that you have to build a convoluted deck around for consistency instead.
