Well yeah more characters in general would be great and is really needed but Myrrah is probably my favorite character in the series. She had the best vs lines and i loved that accent. The laugh she makes when she gets a headshot is perfect.

You know what is actually a really useful feature for finding people who want to do the Foundation Horde speedrun? The Looking for Groups section on Xbox One on the Gears page. I've done the Foundation method 6 times in the past 2 days.

They removed a lot of weapons i wish were still in the game. One shot, Mortar, Sawed Off, the ones you mentioned.

I know they probably wouldnt be all that helpful with how more fast paced things are and how strong the gnasher is but still. Just feels more like a side-step or even a step back than progressive improvement.

One shot was boring and cheap. Not interesting at all.

Mortar was an awkward weapon honestly.

Sawed off was effectively replaced by the Overkill so it's not like we're missing something.

Hammer of dawn and scorcher are the ones I really miss because they were actually unique and fun to use.

Cheap how? It was basically a super strong sniper that had what i thought was reasonable start up and recovery. It could really shine on some maps. And it worked well in combination with the Boom Shield in terms of balance.

Mortar also probably just needed a wider spread to be more effective, i think it could be pretty simply adjusted to be more viable and intuitive. Like the one shot these power weapons are great to bring out some of the strengths of the maps.

And yeah Overkill is pretty much an equal replacement for the Sawed Off, but aesthetically i liked it more. Overkill feels like i'm carrying around a stereo.

I think the Scorcher was removed because it was sort of like a short range Retro. Other than the lack of kick back it was pretty much a less versatile Retro, wasnt it? The Hammer i guess was seen as kind of similar to what the Digger / Dropshot accomplish as a means to kill enemies behind cover or around walls.

Also if anything else i think the Overkill is more overpowered than the Sawed Off. At least with the sawed off you had one chance or had to endure a lengthy reload time. Overkill is just get a little close and hammer the trigger.

Overkill is a pickup so of course it's more powerful.

Yeah, but then Sawed Off could come back as just a load-out weapon. It'd be nice to have another shotgun. Instead of right now where we just get one with 3 different rifles and a "power weapon" retro rifle on the map.

there might be dlc for new weapons so we may never know. i'd like to have a pump action shotgun

I like them well enough. What we have now though just isnt as robust in terms of variety. And they seem more like an offshoot of the Locust rather than a whole new foe.

I guess it makes it easier to get Swarm Therons and Swarm Kantus models but still feels like a bit of a superficial change.

DBs are cool, having some mechanical enemies can provide for a neat change of aesthetics and combat types like the Kestral boss.

Public horde is an incredibly remarkable display of just how dense humanity can be. To this day i'm still flabbergasted by how people who dont even know the unique roles of the classes choose to play Hardcore or Insane.

The class weapons are in pretty dire need of weapon skins too so they could have used them.

How to fix horde mode.

Casual: No change.

Normal: You must play as a class you are at least level 3 in.

Hardcore: You must play as a class you are at least level 5 in.

Insane: You must play as a class you are at least level 7 in.

If you don't have a class at the required level then you can't queue at that difficulty.

I'd like to add these
Hardcore: You must re-up once.
Insane: You must re-up twice.

Hardcore: You must submit to an IQ test and achieve at least 80

Insane: You must submit to an IQ test and achieve at least 120, as well as submitting to a basic mechanical skill test and score at least 90%.

Rank in just about any game with online has never been a very accurate indicator of skill. In most cases it either;

A: Simply measures how often you play, which is bad since in these instances you usually cant go down in rank as a result of poor performance.

Or B: Measures how often you can win and not lose to people of certain ranks, so you just have to be better than the best scrubs online, which often leads to ragequiting or leaving early.

I prefer Dodgeball over Arms Race.

My preferred modes are King of the Hill, Team Deathmatch, Dodgeball, Warzone, Guardian, Arms Race from favorite to least.

And i'm still sad that they changed King of the Hill from 2 rounds to 1. I used to get so much money from that mode.

I get that, but still, this is horde, which would mean the guy had to play alot to get there, how could he be so daft? It has to be from boosting.

It's just as possible he played a lot in the latter to get his up. Or played a lot of horde while never getting to the end or learning how to properly play. Those tips could be a bit more on the nose with direct class advice.

"Is there a Scout on your team? They get power bonuses so let them pick up it up, even if you see some nearby or from your own kill".

Instead they just tell you what you might like to play.

I know there isn't a different ranking, but you think he would get the basics at least. Anyway just re-upped myself and got a dickload of characters out of the free elite packs.

I really hope they add a votekick system for horde
or at the very least, allow people to change class mid match

the vote kick imo is most important, we had a dipshit who did nothing but waste fucking money and refused to stop spending despite us messaging him telling him to stop, he wasn't the engineer mind you.

Another match we had a guy who kept moving our fabricator and fortifications. Butthurt that I caught him spending on fortifications (again not the engineer) and throwing his weapon locker out front to get destroyed so we could recoup. So he threw a fit and did the above, luckily me and my friends had equipped 1-20 cards so we left after 20 waves anyway.

Fucking tired of playing KOTH, I've encountered pure shit, leaving teammates, "I can do this by myself" guys, people that don't play objective. Fucking tired men

That fixes the vote kick problem, I guess all you can do is trust that scrubs won't use it as an excuse to just randomly try to get people kicked and like minded idiots or trolls don't go along with them, but I'm not entirely comfortable with that whole trust thing after the shit I've seen online.

That class switching thing is another matter since I also don't trust people to stay in their lane and know their role.

I watched the esports rounds and OpTic / eUnited put down the Markza every so often, and they'd always send someone to pick it up? And they dominated with it so it must be decent

Enforcer, Hammerburst, Snub, and Markza need a buff.

m8 i have some bad news for you...

Enforcer has crazy strong active damage, it's basically the new active retro.

People can already join mid match by invites, but yeah a standard system for just anyone to join would be better to fill slots in rather than just going with that slot missing the whole time.

I think it should be something you also vote on too though. I've been in my fair share of Horde rooms where i only wanted one guy to leave because he was being retarded and once they do leave things go so much smoother.

One time in public horde on insane a spot left behind by an idiot who left got replaced by someone who was probably even worse. He must have been a guy on someone's friends list but i mean come on, he was at least competent, the guy's friend was a bigger dumb ass than the person who got the bullied out of the room by people punching him whenever he made a mistake.
