I am referring to the fact that if you make a basic pros and cons list of both servers, MT blows CH out of the water every time. What do you look for when you consider a new server? I look for population, how active they are, and their economy. Well, MT has more people. MT also has more active people. And MT has a better economy because of all those active people contributing to it. CH has a couple of guilds full of really nice people, and they're fairly active, but good luck when you find yourself wanting a design or a rare costume or when you want to do the 30 man and every LFG stays stuck on phase 1 for weeks. If you're not on at the right timezone you get fucked over too. If you're EU, go to MT. There's no one playing on CH until american primetime. Due to us being considered a roleplaying server as well, we're constantly excluded from server merges.

Now don't get me wrong. CH has some really great people on it, and with how easy the content is this patch you can't really say that one group can clear X while another group can't unless you're talking about the new 30 man, but there is no objective reason to go to CH over MT. If you moved to CH, we'd be nice to you. We'd help you gear up and learn the ropes. You'd have fun here. But the same could be said of MT, alongside their superior population and economy. I'm just being brutally honest here. I love it on CH and I'd never leave since the community I've helped build and the sum of my experiences exists here, but I can't tell someone to come here and feel right about it if they don't know what they're getting into.

Of course, this is all true from a purely objective standpoint. MT tends to have a lot of weirdly personal drama that gets leaked into the thread. Where CH is concerned, they have an occasional dramatic thing like any guild, but MT just takes it to a whole 'nother level. They post discord logs of private chat rooms, they post erp logs that were never meant to be shared, they post private information constantly. In addition, their community in general takes things much more seriously than CH, for better or worse. A simple example: if you joined an MT guild that took the game very seriously, they would probably clear the 30 man raid the first week it came out, which is good, but the downside is they would not even consider taking you along because they take the game very seriously and would rather clear than do it with a new member of their guild, even if it meant taking members from other guilds just so they could clear it. I don't like to use the term toxic much, but there is an amount of toxicity on MT that CH has not yet approached -- though it may be inevitable, and CH certainly flirts with that threshold from time to time. That said, what CH lacks in game related toxicity, they make up for in cringe. The moment you leave the Veeky Forums communities and venture into LFG or other guilds, you'll be assaulted with so much bullshit it's just ridiculous. MT could be the same for all I know, but it's so bad here I can't even.

TFT has been advertising themselves a lot in this thread, but I'm not sure how inclusive they are about content and stuff. If they do the thing where people ask "does anyone want to do X dungeon before I queue" then they are already about as inclusive as Dump on CH and at that point you're only better off going to CH if you want to erp between dungeons. It's worth noting that CH has roleplaying and MT has open world pvp, but neither server actually does those things reliably enough for it to be a true determining factor.

How do I kill BAMs efficiently if I'm not a DPS class ?

Farm places like RM and LK. In addition to daily feedstock rewards from the vanguard quest, you'll also get boxes that sell for a nice amount of gold. That's the real reason to do it. Take those boxes and sell them. Keep selling them. If you get a perfume, sell that too. Gold is the best thing to farm in this game. When feedstock is insanely high, take what you've saved and sell that too. Convert it into gold and then wait for the price to drop; then just buy back what you lost later when it's cheaper, and you'll still make a net profit.

Don't be an idiot. Don't farm dungeons after your dailies run out, collecting scraps of 4 feedstock per boss. It's a waste of your time. Do crafting instead in that time. Get more gold. Gold can be turned into feedstock.

Depends on which bams you're talking about and which class you are. If you're talking about level 65 island of dawn bams and you're a tank, then you get good because that shit's easy. If you're a healer, you'd better be ready to just party up with someone who can dish out damage. Otherwise you're fucked. It's possible to do it alone, and there are videos of priests soloing IoD content, but it takes forever.

I can't decide between Priest or Mystic

I wouldn't mind doing IoD bams with a healer if you wouldn't mind going with a lancer. I kill them pretty quickly on my own, so doing it with healer buffs would make the process a cinch. You would probably be bored, though.

They're both in a pretty good spot this patch. If you enjoy the way they both feel to play, then I'd say go mystic if you have skilled friends already. Go priest if you know you're gonna pug a lot, or if your friends are the type to facetank everything so they can get in more dps. Some groups need a priest's carrying abilities more than others.

They're quite useful when you're in a group of skilled players, which goes back to the thing I mentioned earlier. People you pug with will almost always be retarded, but skilled players know for example that an orange mote cleanses bleeds and debuffs, so they will pick one up instead of waiting for you to lock on cleanse them if they have that option. An unskilled player will die right on top of a mote and then complain that they were not cleansed in time.

This is why you should only make a mystic if you know you will be playing with friends who understand how to play alongside a mystic, or if you just plan on getting really fucking good so that you can carry idiots on a healing class that was not designed with carrying in mind.
