Well usually there are 5-6 survivors, and I feel like if it was the opening more characters would be visible. Plus the six shown there are mostly characters you would expect to survive (Kaede, Shuichi etc.).

I just started the DRv3 (Vita) demo and... the quality for the voice clips sounds really bad to me. Like I'm hearing it through a transceiver or something. The music and sfx are fine, so... is this intentional? Or is it because of the Vita version? Or am I just missing something?

Well in the first game it did a similar shot and it was shown as the camera flying in towards Monokuma, not everyone lined up in the shot. So if it is a similar situation then it wouldn't show everyone, just the people in the frame at the moment of the shot.
