List yer engines

List every engine you've ever owned.
Only count the ones installed in cars, that seized 305 on a pallet in your back yard doesn't count
I'll start
Ford Modular 4.6 (2x)
Chrysler 2.2 Turbo II
Chevy 454 GEN V TBI
Chrysler 318 LA TBI
Nissan QR25DE
Chevy 350 TBI
Chrysler 5.2 Magnum

wouldn't these be horribly unbalanced?

...

D15B7
7MGTE

what the fuck car uses a V5? I have never heard of such stupidity.

>d16y7 in a civic with y8 manifold and race header. Eventually seized the camshaft
>Another d16y7 with a knock
>Swapped with a d16y8 from a different Civic
>Buick 3100 series 2?
>Nissan vg30 sohc
>Subaru ej22 sohc
>1.9 liter twin cam Saturn sl2
I think that's it

From vehicles i owned
l20b Datsun
Honda DOHC ZC 1.6 and F20A
Isuzu 3.1 turbo diesel
2x 3.8 V6 and 202ci 6 Holdens
9x 4.0 Ford SOHC

Suprisingly, no leakage so far at all. 100k miles.

>Nissan QG18DE (2004 Sentra)
Honestly a great engine. Tuned for torque at low rpms, got 30+ mpg consistently, reliable

>GM 3800 (2004 Pontiac Montana)
It was ok. I don't get the hype.

Mazda BP-ZE x2 (1994 & 1997 Miata)
Strong, reliable, built to take boost well, no mechanical issues besides lifter tick (just need to use the right oil). I just wish it made more HP naturally aspirated. the head just doesn't flow well.

Renault K4M
that's it

Mazda seems to prefer broad torque curves at the expense of peak horsepower

What cars uses a flat 6? subaru legacy?

Porsche

Legacy, outback, svx, porsche

Yeah I've noticed that. Plus the BP wasn't originally designed for n/a power, it was meant to be turbocharged and mounted transverse in a 323GTX.

there's literally almost no performance-based aftermarket for them, all the v8 swaps i've seen were just homemade hack jobs on older models

Get the fuck out fella

No, 250cc 4 strokes are shit now and forever.

I just blew up the engine of a car I've owned for 4 days and bought "as is"

hold me Veeky Forums

I disagree, there have been good four stroke 250's but no good 180 degree parallel twins.

How in the fuck did you seize a camshaft?

>muh cbr250rr
They're still shit, dumb memeposter

My M3 was a lot of fun, but it was a clapped out piece of shit when I bought it and I sold it because it was too rusty for me to repair the rear subframe mounts.

Pic related.

I don't think I'd own a BMW newer than the E36/E39 era, many of my friends do, and they just aren't that dependable. I'd love to find an E30 325ix, I've replaced the M3 in my sports car lust with perfecting an L61 or LD0 Fiero, but I'd like a good little saloon car for gravel fun.

Not a high priority though, my automotive addiction is square body Chevies.

Just because you don't like them doesn't make them shit, user.

Enjoy your GS500 ; -)

I don't have a super powerful bike. It makes 75hp, which isn't a lot. From a carbureted p-twin, which makes it easier to understand. Your God machine 250 redeemer makes 48. That's the best 250 ever? It's still shit

only owned two cars, first car had a 4cyl mercedes engine which i used to abuse the fuck out of, took it like a champ, was actually pretty fun to drive.

now i have supercharged v8 amg engine

Vortec 5.3 V8

CBR250R (MC22)
ZXR250

killed because making a 250 fun runs counter to making a 250 "environmentally friendly" (like it matters with the small amount of them on the road)

...

>muh hearse powah

Yeah, you can "enjoy" your hurr durr linear power delivery and 10k redline so you can break the speed limit sooner, or you can actually have fun

It's like liters vs 600s but scaled down to save on insurance

Nissan VG30E
Nissan Z24i
Toyota 4M-E
Toyota 7MGE JDM
Toyota 22R
Chevrolet Vortec 6000

before someone asks the 7MGE is in a Toyota Crown and yes i had to do the fucking headgasket at 80,000km

>getting ass-hurt because someone likes something you don't
>getting bum ravaged because someone insulted your bike

The angle isn't as spread as a typical v6 or v8. It almost looks like they squished an i5

The engine blocks are neat

Ford 3.0 Vulcan
VW 2.8 VR6 12V

Ford non P.I. 2V SOHC 4.6 V8 (on and on and on, slower than the shittiest chebby veeate tho)
Ford 3V SOHC 4.6 V8 (unloved step child since new 5.0, still fun. Unexpectedly good mileage)
Ford OHV 4.0 V6 (half a million miles of reliable, too under powered)
Ford SOHC 4.0 V6 (average beyond average driving, fuck the chain guides)
Ford S/C OHV 3.8 V6 (diesel torque delivery, get off my lawn)
Honda B18A1 DOHC 1.8 I4 (slow as a turd, dead reliable)
Honda B16A1 DOHC 1.6 I4 (for the speedy speed boys, real gem)
Nissan QR25DE DOHC 2.5 I4 (felt faster than it was, unreliable)
Dodge SOHC 4.7 V8 (trash)

This is the first time I've seen benchracing between motorcycles in the same class
