spell damage doesn't double dip, hence controlled destruction doesn't either.

fire pen can only apply to hits, can't apply to degen (ignite), although lowering a monster resistance does increase ignite indirectly

conc effect double dips, yes. probably why aoe skills tend to be very strong, conc effect turns them into double dipping dps monsters vs bosses.

It's really not that fucking hard to find a socket for Vaal DD and proactively clear out the corpses before Bameth gets you on beyond maps. You even kill a ton of shit with it.
