M cars

How would you rank BMW's current lineup of M cars?

>M2
>M3
>M4
>M5
>M6

Which is best? Which is worst?

>M2
>M6
>M4
>M5
>M3

i'm not much for the new ones really. The old ones just were better than audi/ Mercedes counterparts. But now, ehh...

Everything after the e36 is shit fight me

Sure.

E39 is bae

There was literally nothing wrong with the E46

At least, it wasn't any worse than the cars before it

I like how BMW is admitting that the M2 is a better successor to the classics than the M3 is

>M4 GTS
>M2
>M6
>M5
>X6M/X5M
>M3
fuck off.

this

>M4 GTS
>the 135k piece of shit that could barely outhandle pic related, let alone a GT350R

The GTS is garbage. Rank M cars by fun, comfort, and looks, because they aren't fast on the track. At least, definitely not for the price you pay.

I'd say this is best of M

golden years was e46/e39/e38
steadily declining after that
the m2 is really the only real bmw they sell anymore, everything else is eugh

The M4 GTS is almost 5 seconds faster than the GT350R on Nurburgring
Lmao

reminder that the burger king ring makes cars shit

Found James May

M2 best, M4 fuck worst

>Shit
>more shit
>GTR
>M2
>M3
>M4
>M5
>M6

James May is right though

>slow on other tracks
>can't clear a speedbump or a curb without scraping
>miserable ride quality

He's right though, the GTS ended up being pitifully slow on the Eboladrome because it was designed to only go fast on 1 track and 1 track alone

Still the most relevant looking car

I'm not disagreeing. Sending cars round the hurrburg ring ruins them.

I wouldn't.
Modern BMW are unaesthetic and overpriced. I do not care to rank them as they are irrelevant. Same goes for Mercedes at the moment.

this. That right there is M

>Same goes for Mercedes at the moment.

Current run of M cars are lame as a whole. They've even taken to are making fake engine noises a thing now.

Only the M2 is worth a damn.

This. It's sad that M3s a shit now

Worst:
> Any BMW
Best:
> Literally anything else

well, it's more M2 honestly.

But honestly, the CSL was amazing. 3 liter NA engine, based on a mid-small sedan that had debut in 1998, and it is faster around the ring that things like the SLR McLaren, the F430, the Gallardo 560 and the current M2

That looks like shit.
Blobitecture ages quicker than warm milk.

Honestly their M6 line is a bit underrated. It has better performance than a GT-R and costs 67% less on average.

They're about the same prices. Sure you could get a used m6 for cheap but you also can a GT-R too

Ditto.

I realize they're faster and more capable in every way but they just don't do it for me.

>M140i
>M2
>M3
>M5
>M760
>M550d
>M6
>M4
>POWER GAP
>JCW Mini's
>ANOTHER POWER GAP
>2 series Active Tourer
>YET ANOTHER POWER GAP
>SUV's with an M badge on them

After driving all of them at the track:
M2
M3/m4
X5M
M5
X6M
M6

I sort of agree. And I don't see the appeal that some have on the M6 either. It's a fatter M5, and you can probably get close to 600hp in it with a chip tune.

M2 but it sounds like shit. Any the new Fx series M cars sound terrible. And there doesn't even seem to be any good aftermarket options to make them sound less shit.

M6 is a nice grandtourer, but it was shit at the track. One of the guys stuffed it into a ditch going too hot into a corner

Pretty much this, actually.

>M6
>M6
>M6
>M6
>M6
>M6

t. "grassroots" Poorfag

M2>1998 Hyundai Elantra>M*

Besides aesthetics, they're really not that good

Do m235i/m240is count?

>M5
>M4
>M3
>M6
>M2

>that raked stance

Sex on wheels

I thought modern tuners don't even do TT anymore.

Of course they do.

>Tuners
Sure, but all they're after is peak power. A manufacturers twinturbo setup can meet peak power (dictated by bottom end strength and warranty), and throttle response as well.

No lsd
No suspension upgrade
No special tach or cluster over base models
No M-mode
No performance exhaust
No upgraded brakes
No temp gauges

Not a real M car.

Oh but it has 47 m badges on it so I guess that makes up for all of it.
