he detects you by your fear and noise. the quieter and calmer you are, the harder it is to find you.

try to move slow more often so you make less noise so its harder for him to sense you.

walk or crouch instead of run.

fix stuff but making mistakes during the process makes noise he can hear.

try to lose him in cabins, he can't go through windows

keep your light on and try to find other counselors

barricade a door and open windows to escape.

two story window jumps will injure you and hobble you a bit.

lock doors when you set a bear trap so other couselors don't step on it.

the gun stuns Jason on hit but ONLY ONE BULLET

pocket knives help insta-escape grabs

the radio pings his sense but it masks you in the cabin and makes hiding easier. lock the front door, open a window or the back door, turn on the radio and hide. Jason will probably bust down the door kill the radio, briefly search the cabin, see the open window/back door, and leave because he only has so much time to kill you all. good composure and you can avoid detection. or he might be meticulous and look everywhere....

pay attention to your character's stats. the black girl is shit at hiding but can run like a motherfucker. Jenny and AJ are good at hiding but if Jason catches you alone you are fucked. Deborah is better fixing the car/phone lines. Chad has good speed and stealth and max luck but garbo composure, Kenny is an all arounder. they all have different roles.

of course you could just have shit luck regardless.

F13 Camper Tips and Tricks:
-Use mouse for optimal head swivel action
-Keep head on a swivel
-Press X to toggle snail walk and jogging
-Press M to open the map
-Press C to enter combat mode, you can fight Jason
-Sprint only when Jason is about to grab dat ass
-Ration that stamina, if you have a good lead on Jason, don't be afraid to enter sneak mode to regen stamina
-Entered a house? Open all the windows and lock/barricade all the doors
-Jason can't enter windows
-You take damage from broken windows
-Shift-E to jump out of windows
-Hit E twice when opening doors to slam those bitches open
-You can sprint open doors
-Team up with other campers, worst case scenario you might be able to stun him
-The signature F13 "ha ha ha" means Jason just teleported
-Fear increases chance of getting spotted by Jason's Sense
-Exiting the window on the second floor results in taking damage
-Do not ram Jason with a car he is an immovable object
-A dead player can respawn as a local hunter armed with a one-shot shotgun if the CB radio is used
-Try to always put a beartrap near the doors, so when Jason enters he will get trapped instantly
-The police always show up in either the NW or NE entrance on the highway
-Using a flare gun while Jason is nearby will mark his position on the map for a while
-He can listen to you talking to others, if you are carrying a radio and someone else speaks through it he WILL hear that as well
-You can drop both inventory items and repair tools, so if you are carrying keys and you are fucked, drop them by the car
-Blunt weapons are useful, you can stun Jason and buy yourself some time

The devs have answered questions and spoken about killing Jason on twitch. Ben (developer) specifically mentioned the axe when thinking about killing Jason. And another developer who was being interviewed mentioned that some players have managed to take off his mask which is a step in the right direction but they don't think anyone has killed him yet.

nobody knows what part 2 of killing jason is beyond the mask, although people think it involves pams head

I have my doubts about that. One of the developers did mention that Jason's shack is dangerous but that it also sometimes has some loot.

It may very well be the case that some games you simply cannot kill Jason because the special loot that spawns there just doesn't appear due to RNG.

Do the devs plan on introducing a new game mode where you can outright kill the survivors directly without hanging them on hooks?

How often do they release new killers/survivors? Will they have more crossover killers?

Will they introduce more items for survivors to use?

No. Every few months. Probably not. Maybe, they'll add a gun for Dwight to keep up with the memes eventually.
