the fact that whoever installed that kit was too fucking lazy to hit it with some black temp resistent paint tells me the build quality is SUB PAR

rustoleum makes a paint specificly for painting brake calipers and manifolds, you are soposed to paint them so they dont rust over time

you just paint the surface then you heat it up moderately

then you let it cool

then you heat it up fully and let it cool and the paint sets

but to be 100% honest with you its a suggestion and the shit is so well made you could just as easily not do that and the coating will only fade slightly and thats after years of consistent use

like really dude just go to autozone and look at the rustoleum cans on their paint can section

its even marked as high temp, it pretty much goes over all of this on the back of the can

That and it's very hard for paint to bond to cast iron under heat. If you are talking about Rustoleum 903 series paints (248903), that shit requires a primer for use on cast iron. Material Application Data Sheet tells you that if you can read.

The primer required is not heat resistant.

Where 903 paints work very well is tubular steel and tubular stainless steel.

Not cast iron.

So if you're stupid enough to write off a car based on one photo of an unpainted cast iron log manifold where the paint would likely fail.......

do you realize how long it takes to fully reinstall a turbo/manifold that you just took off to paint? you dont just slap on some paint nigger and haul ass for that shit to bake on, you have to remove those parts to paint them and then cure them within an appropriate window of time for the paint to properly set.

damn you really don't know shit about shit, you dont want paint on your manifold anyway, it makes it hard to see flaws, defects, and cracks.
