That's just how it is. I don't doubt we'll have more one-shots down the line that aren't purely focused on worldbuilding and I don't doubt that he'll start delegating whole issues to other writers instead of just having them do scripting more often.

Honestly I think stuff like the Sonic Man issue will be the norm for at least a while. Issue 300 and the aftermath will be a big thing, but otherwise it seems like we'll be doing a lot of self contained stuff. Hell, even Universe is going the whole one and done route with the current arc. If anything, the FF arc will be like Shadow Saga: a series of loosely connected stories with a central theme to them

Tails' tails. They're so fluffy and eye catching.

It's hard not to say mania. But it's mania.
Beyond that I like the Battle art style sprites a lot. Very stocky but still fine for fighting.

Shadow's overcomplicated gloves. I have no idea what those things on the rings are and they're a pain to draw. Tails' gloves are my favorite since they have the little black bands around the wrists.

Advance ones. Theyre all kinda the same, just with new animations each game. Second favorite is Sonic 2

Least Favorite: Rouge (Sonic Heroes) which sucks cuz otherwise her outfit was neat in that game
Favorite: Tails. Sleek but has personality.
Espio and Jet are close seconds. And thats saying a lot for Jet since I hate every other aspect of him.
Knuckles' are also up there, kind of iconic with the trademark knuckle spikes
Was also going to say Blaze's but it looks like the big fluffy part is apart of the coat, not gloves
Yeah it's really subtle. I was a huge sonic fan as a kid and drew them a bunch so I noticed his little bands really early on.

Shadow was just a spinoff. Even then the gameplay was mostly fine, it obviously gets most of its shit for the edgy bullshit. You also knew what you wound get out of it.
06 was a main game which hyped up people's expectations, anniversary game and made to be a big deal, which ended up being straight broken and having very little redeeming features.
The true dark age started with the Saturn, since we only had 3D Blast and R, and X-treme got cancelled. While the Adventure games were decent, the pressure to recover from the Saturn era, both for Sonic and Sega in general, meant they put everything into making Adventure a mass-market hit that appealed to as many people as possible instead of carving out a specific identity and fleshed-out gameplay for Sonic only. That lack of a good foundation then significantly contributed to Heroes, Shadow and 06 turning out the way they did.
