Explain to me again how bad decisions and stupid mistakes are related?

In technical terms (human factors engineering) a bad decision is an error. You decide to shut down main circulating pump #2 and the nuclear plant melts down because you did what you intended, but it was the wrong thing.

A mistake on the other hand is you decide to turn mcp #1 on but accidentally flip the switch for mcp #2 to off. Your intention was correct but you still cause a fucking meltdown. Stupid Mistakes.

Good decisions on the other hand result in favorable outcomes. Favorable Outcomes is the RESULT not the paronym of Good decisions.

Now what else has the RESULT of Favorable Outcome? Why Lucky Breaks of course.

That's how I see them being related. I'm not arguing but I thought I'd explain the rational behind going with the GD/LB over something less catchy.

On top of that, I've got seven out of nine designs done, two more that are 80-90% complete... going back and changing two little words represents a huge time investment and I've already spent way too much time on this project.

In any even BD will have the final say so maybe tomorrow I'll wrap the whole thing up and send it to him and see if he wants to print any of the GD/LB slaps.

Being creative myself I know that there is no way this won't hurt your feelings, millenial or not, but I feel like you are just trying too hard to make it happen.

The Good Decisions thing is a cute idea and is funny in light of /osg/ culture but most of the best stickers in here came about organically. I think if you could capture that in a single good decisions sticker you'd have it in the bag.

Newfag at this sticker shit so please help. Work ends until summer so I'm gonna be bored as fuck so why not make stickers. Anons who make their own stuff, what do I need beside a vinyl cutter, vinyl sheets, and application for printed decals. Are those just designs printed on regular non vinyl waterproof sticker sheets? .

Or do I just directly print onto the vinyl with a sticky back?

Got a solid reply last thread but I wanted to see what your opinions on these are. I've been working on these the last few days. Going a different rout and using photography as a base for the slap. Planning to only use my own photography as the sole source of the base image for all future designs as well.

I can;t read the English on the top slap at all. Awful font.

For the bottom one, I like the background aesthetic, though the diamond may look better in the center. Kinda looks cut off now. The text, both moon and english, looks disjointed from the rest. It's too "clean" while the scanlines and gradients in the background add complexity and interest. Not saying the contrast is bad, it isn't, but you should try and blend the two styles some instead of the stark difference. Maybe try putting some gradient/fade/color/texture on the text, or maybe put the scanlines over everything so it looks more like a real vhs still.

I don't know whether my eyesight are horrible, but would adding some black distorted effect or an outline behind the text on the top slap look good? Cause I think it has bright-ish background and white text.
And don't you think the text are too wide? Its hitting those imaginary border which makes it wide.
Would adding a square outline makes it gud?

Die-cuts are just plotter, vinyl, and application tape. Printing vinyl for outdoor use won't happen unless you invest at least a few grand, but you can outsource those designs to shops like Offset or Aimless Goods.

Change the English fonts to something clean and somewhat modern. Maybe play around with the nip too. I'd also try playing with the text placement to accentuate the geometric shapes.

Get rid of the shapes distortion and outlines in the backgrounds its to busy compared to the foreground. Type looks good tho.

So stuff like this is undoable within reasonable cost without outsourcing?

i can read the top english on the first but it took me a while to make out that the bottom text might read solo canyon attack

If you're only intending to run a small sticker shop, then yes. But luckily start up costs for sticker shops are cheap regardless. Which is why the market is kinda flooded.

So general consensus is that I need to find a better font for the English. I'm gonna look around for some better fonts today while I have downtime at work. Thank you for the advice guys. I appreciate it.

I would look for a different font for the runes too but it's not the end of the world if that's the final font
